Matt, I'm so sorry for what you've been through. Like the others I just hope and pray that your remaining 4 continue to grow and be healthy. Good luck!

You certainly went the distance with Sabine and her pups. Loosing the puppies was heartbraking I'm sure, the 4 remaining are a testamonial to you're hard work. We will keep them in our prayers for continued good health.

Matt,
What a testimate you are to the role of a responsible and caring breeder. It must be so difficult still to deal with the loss. Unfortunately, we can only offer our thoughts, prayers, and support but most of us cannot even fathom what an awful ordeal you have gone through.
Sincerely sorry for your loss.
Joanna

Matt:
What a sad, sad story. I am so sorry. It was so good of you to share your story with all of us. I have a very beautiful 4 mo. old dark inverted flashy brindle. Her markings are commented on by everyone who sees her. So many people have told me I must let her have one litter of puppies; that they would be gorgeous and I could make a lot of money. Others have told me it just makes for a better dog to let them be a mother one time. I've said all along I know nothing about breeding or caring for new puppies and I certainly wouldn't do it for the money. I only bought my boxer for a family pet and she is a beloved family member. Yesterday, at barely 4 months old, I had her spayed. I had some doubts, but I really felt I was doing the right thing. Now that I've read what you've gone through, I haven't a doubt in the world that I've done the right thing. I know there are many new boxer owners like myself who visit boxer world for advice and direction. God Bless you, your family, and all the little puppies who I pray will get better and stronger each day.

I am so sorry...

my boxer just had puppies Tuesday night and i lost the very first one that was born and it broke my heart. So i dont know exactly what you went through but i know it breaks your heart when you loose one, and i really did try to save it i even did CPR. But she did go on to have six more. So i am really sorry about the lose of your puppies. Joanie

I am so sorry to read of the sad time you have been going through. Thank you so much for sharing what has happened so others, like myself, may learn what you may have to endure if you decide to breed.

Sabine

Matt, I'm so sorry to heaar about your loss.
Congratulations on saving the four little puppies, one day may they find loving owners who will fight for them just as you fought for them to begin their lives.

I'm rooting for the puppies! Let's face it, breeding is not to be taken lightly. I have discouraged many, many people from bring litters unnecessarily into the world with horror stories like the one just described. The people I've told these stories too have been very naive pet owners, these aren't even necessarily dogs worthy of breeding. I tell them, why would you want to risk your beloved family pet to possible tragedy. As any breeder knows, we weigh the risks everytime we do it, praying for a positive outcome.:)

Matt,

I send my strongest thoughts over the pond and your way. I hope the 4 survivors end to be true SURVIVORS!

Such scenerios are always a breeder's nightmare and as painful as it is to relive it in writing, it is that bravery that may help others realize the true risks involved.

Now, kiss the babies for me and get a whiff of that puppy breathe :)

I hope that the survivng four continue to improve and romp. You have been through such a trying time. Some day I'd like to breed, but I won't until (or if) I can do it right. I have a lot to learn and earn to do it. I'm glad to hear responsible breeders such as yourself sending out messages of truth to educate and not fuzzy-wuzzy images of cute babies.
