We use Kongs for a treat and Nylabones for chewing. Lara is a super powerful chewer, and Nylabone is the only brand we've found so far that makes one that won't become demolished inside of a day.
We won't use rawhide ever again after Lara's choking incident. I was barely able to pull a piece out of her throat that was about 6-8" long. I'll never forget it. It plugged her throat, and she started spraying saliva out of her mouth, like when you put your thumb over a hose going full blast. All this while being supervised too! It was a very scary experience indeed.

Raw Carrots! They're cheap and after a few sniffs and weird looks, my guys love 'em!

I bought a bully stick not knowing what it was!!!
My feed store only sells holistic, etc. So one day at the checkout young Tulley grabbed a bullystick from a cubby, well once he grabbed it, I bought it. I follow the old fashion manners of not touching the merchandise unless you are going to buy it. I asked her about it and she said it was safe, etc, etc, but you don't want to know exactly what it is. Well, I sent it with him to work with my mom the next day. All the ladies complained!
Now that I know how much they love them, I can't say no.
