Ha! My Lucy hates the rain as well, although she doesn't mind it as much if we are out on a walk, but she won't go out in the backyard if it is even drizzling.

The harder it rains, the faster they do their business, the faster they get to come inside. Mine aren't the brightest because they still call to go outside and only realize its raining when they start getting wet. So when they call to go out I open the door, match their excitement level with an eager call to get their bums outside and off they go. Kahner always pushes Cora out of the way to get out first and Cora chases him out. By the time they make it down to the grass and start turning to run back inside i've got the crack in the open door covered and remind them what they have to do to get back inside LOL. Hasn't failed me yet. I don't feel bad. Getting a little wet won't hurt them and they both have no problem with water :)

When Cora was young I do remember putting a rain coat on (me) and going out with her and reminder her to go pee. Stayed there till she did.

It just started raining here in OR/WA (thank you indian summer!) Cash was born in eastern, OR on 6/29 so this is his first rain experience. He didnt want to go out at first. I had to boot him out the back door and then he would pee/poo on our patio! Since then ive been booting him off the patio and onto the barkdust potty area ;-) Heheee.

Now he acts annoyed by the rain, he tries to bite the rain drops and squints his eyes when it lands on him like its hurting him. LOL. He is such a silly boy.

I agree with CoraBoxer though...I crack the door and tell him to go potty. He goes and does his business and comes inside when he does it. Not before. If he tried to make a bee line for the door i go out with him and scoot him out and encourage him to potty. He is getting better! Which is good since in the pacific NW it will be raining for the 8 months. ;-)

Joey is the same way, he refuses to go pee or poop in the rain. Bless his heart he will just hold it. I did buy him a rain coat and at first he did go pee only with it on but now all of the sudden he wont. Occasionally he will go under the carport and pee on the column that is facing the outside but I think that is just in the case that he cant hold it any longer. Luckily he has never had any accidents in the house appicon

Like many others he doesn't like to walk across the grass if it is wet but he LOVES to go to the lake and go swimming noideaicon

Funny to see how many other boxers don't like the rain!!

I will have to try keeping door cracked trick next time it rains!

My boxers can care less is its raining or not.
My pom always comes in sad and grouchy about getting his coat wet. He usually like to sit on our lap or leaning against us, but once you get him wet he will put on a sad face and sit on the opposite end of the couch and if you try to grab him he runs off.
