Ginger's bone biopsy
First of all my thanks to you all for your thoughts and prayers!
Ginger made it through the biopsy just fine! The vet said her EKG was good, her heart is strong and normal. Her bloodwork is within all the normal ranges, so all of her organs look fine. We decided not to do the chest x-ray, because things are really hard to see in the lungs, unless they are too far gone (and she'd be showing signs--which she isn't). But thankfully her overall health looks great!
The vet got a good sample of bone, and while he was in there, he also got some soft tissue samples to send to pathology too. So now we wait for the results....
I just picked her up from the vet's office, she is still quite a bit groggy. Even through that, she was happy to see me. She is resting comfortably in her favorite spot (on top of an A/C floor vent). Dexter was happy to see her come home too--he almost knocked her down with all his "kidney beaning"!
I feel so relieved that we made it through this biopsy! I know this is far from over, but now we'll have some answers on what we're dealing with. We thank you for all of your support through this! Please continue to think about us as we wait for the results!!!
Hugs to you all!
