Melaine, reading about Dexter has brought tears to my eyes. I can picture that sad face. I actually was going to suggest the TV too. Just like with us, it will take him time to adjust but I am sure he will be fine. A Kong is a start We put in some peanutbutter and pop it in the freezer so it lasts longer and keep the monsters occupied a bit longer.

This is a very difficult for both you and Dexter and again, I am so sorry for you loss!!! Hang in there. Sending Dex some very sloppy kisses and (((HUGS)))

Dexter update!

Well we did it!!! Dexter made it through today without getting into anything! This was the first day I worked a full 8 hours this week. He was soooo excited when I got home from work, he was literally jumping up and down! Of couse, I was too!!! I gave him lots and lots of praise and hugs! I think he was proud of himself too, for making it through the day!

I think it was a combination of all 3 things (the Comfort Zone, the Bitter Apple on my desk, and the Kong), but I think the Kong was the biggest help. I gave it to him right before I left, and I don't even think he realized I was leaving. So it looks like I'll be stuffing Kongs every morning before work! LOL!

Hopefully this combination will continue to work, and with time, we'll both heal.

I wanted to thank you all again for all of your support through this. I probably won't post anymore under this thread, unless it is related to how Dexter is dealing with things (or how I'm dealing with it too). But you guys have meant so much... You are all very special people and have a special place in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your babies, and I wish I could give you all a big hug! I hope all of you and your babies stay safe and healthy!
