i can put my hand in tank's mouth to take food from him if i want. he is very non-agressive in that way. we have trained him to drop things on command no matter what it is. i think part of it has to do with personality and the socialization pups get with the litter at an early age.

Same with Aragon. I can put my hand in his foodbowl, or even take treats, food or whatever out of his mouth (unless he drops it) and he will just sit politely and wait for me to give it back! :)

My Lily couldn't care any less about her food. I recently discovered that my Weimaraner was hogging all the food and poor Lily wasn't getting her share. Now I monitor them during their meal to make sure she gets enough!

Zoe & Gus are both very food friendly, pretty much whatever you want to do with their food & bowls is fine with them. Occasionally they are given a plate to lick & that is alright too, except Zoe licks faster so Gus doesn't usually get much. :) Toys are the same thing, even with friends dogs, which of course makes us very happy. When we brought Zoe home as a baby we were sure to play with her food as she ate and hand fed her at times so she knew it was "okay".

Rawhides can be a bit of an issue with one another. They are fine to let us take them but won't share those with each other, I think some of that comes from them not getting them very often. (they have regular beef bones they are allowed all the time & no problems where they are concerned)

brewtus has never been a problem with his food in the 5 months i have had him. I reach in and grab some while him face is buried in the bowl frequently to keep it like that too. I also rub him and stuff while he is eating so he remains cool about it.

Laila is also not possessive with her food. I read before I got her to try things like reaching in her bowl to prevent this & have done it since I brought her home. She'll even drink water out of her own bowl with her bull mastiff friend & let her play with her toys. She doesn't seem possessive with anything.

Both of mine are not possessive at all when it comes to humans. However, my 11 month old Munson has had a few problems with toys and bones. We seperate them when they get prized possessions like bones or kongs, and we are the source of all toys. :)

Oskar is not posessive at all. I can stick my hand in his mouth to get anything out. Disney sometimes goes and eats out of Oskar's bowl and Oskar looks at him like Hey that's mine then looks at me like Mom?! come on tell him to stop! But no fights!

Magnum is not agressive at all while eating - we trained him not to be very early on.

Omar is not agressive towards people while he's eating, but he doesn't like for Magnum to be near him - he'll snap at him. Omar will also snap at Magnum if they are standing around in the kitchen while I'm cooking and Omar thinks Magnum may get something and he's not (which is never the case).

We feed the boys at the same time in the same area, but they each have their own feeder - it's raised with two bowls - one for food and one for water.

Neither are aggressive with people or each other about cookies or kongs - they each always get one. They do get a little greedy at times and accidently *snatch* the cookie a little too hard.
