gillian got her name from the character "scully" from the x-files, gillian anderson. i had a huge crush on her.

Our boxer is named Shuti which is rwandan for friend. My wife and I took a missions trip this past summer to Rwanda so it just seemed so appropriate.

Boh of mine are rescues, so Sebastian was the name he was given, i just loved that name for him, but we renamed his sister. They had been fostered separately and i thought she needed a new name. She was Nina, so we came up with Bela from Bela Lagosi (i'm a gothic music fan) since it was a nice short name and she seems to love it. Her tail still wags when you say her name...

We named Hurricane that because my DH is an insurance adjuster (no throwing things at me, its just a job! ) and the commission we made working at Hurricane Katrina is what paid for us to have him! His full name is Fortune's Hurricane because we had been wanting a boxer for so long and we were "fortunate" enough to finally get him!

He does live up to the name Hurricane though... its like living with a whirlwind!

Sam is a rescue and his name was Samson the Sheppard. He now goes by Sam I Am. I find myself calling him Sammy a lot.
Sally Cinnamon is named after the Stone Roses song, "Sally Cinnamon." I have been in love with that song since I heard it and knew that either a skin kid or a furkid would eventually be named that. The furkid came first~

Titan can to us with his name. He is a rescue of sorts...he belonged to someone who cared enough to not want him to be in his crate 12-14 hours per day. He has a bunch of silly names that DH, the kids and I call him (puddily poo being my fav ) but responds to pretty much everything. He is sort of like that old saying, I don't care what you call me as long as it's not late for dinner heehee

Cyrus is named after a little town in Kansas, actually Bucyrus. We would pass the sign for the exit, and my DH would always say "Cyrus is a cool name for a dog!"

GDOGS got his name from my 2 oldest grandkids his real name is golieth but the oldest gk called him GDOGS for short one day and it has stuck ever since
