Please pray for Josi

Well our supposedly relaxing morning has turned in to a hectic mess. Our only 4 yr. old refrigerator decided to quit working last night, so we had to transfer everything from that either into a cooler or the freezer which is still working. I signed up online for a GE repairman visit today which ofcourse is b/t 8-5 and I am most worried about keeping Josi's food safe and cool. I brought down the octagon this morning so when the GE guy shows up I can keep her in the family room. Well she didn't like the sight of that even closed up and decided to take a huge pee in defiance right next to it. Ofcourse instead of being mad, I found it rather cute to witness her diva antics, but she stills knows better and rolled over immediately to say I'm sorry. I forgave her with a piece of chicken. So while she is resting peacefully like we both should be doing, I am a ball of stress trying to manage everything. Well I gotta go get ready b/c on top of all this I have a doctor's appt. at 10:30am. I guess it is a good thing that I technically only have to show up to work for 1 hour of the day to get paid for the entire 8 b/c it doesn't appear that I will be there for most of it. I will try to drop in before I leave and give you a quick update

WAT~we are touched and honored that the name is now official "Warrior Racing"! I can't wait to see the pics and hope that the name continues to bring much success and happiness for your family. I know Grunt must be nubbing around just thinking about it.

Staci, I am so sorry you have to deal with the refridgerator issue at a time when you really want to focus on Josi, not a sick fridge. Naugty fridge! Be calm Josi, you need that fridge reapired, it is the source of your yummy food. Sending 'improving day' vibes, and of couse, hugs and kisses to all. Carry on, Diva Josi, Warrior Princess!

Sorry to hear your plans had to change, and sorry about the frig. Those time frames you get from repairmen, etc. drive me crazy. I know they can't give you a definite time, but really. 9 hours is a big block of time. When I was still working I'd tell whoever I made the appointment with that I was about 20 minutes from home, give them my work number, and have them call me when they were on the way. I'm not very patient.

Glad to hear that Miss Josi is feeling well enough to be in defiance against the octagon. Hope your day gets better. Hugs to the Warrior Princess......

Hmmmm...are you sure the fridge breaking wasn't Josi's way of making you cook up the rest of the chicken? :D And instead, you brought out the dreaded octagon!

Good sign that Josi is still feisty!!! I have to tell you, Staci, that our fridge/freezer went out the end of last year and I had to wait for 5 DAYS for service!! Grunt's food had to be refrigerated, too, so I ended up cooking his meals daily, keeping uneaten portions in several coolers (he was fed 6 times a day!!) - we went through tons of ice! Yup, when it rains it pours! :eek:

WAT, I join Staci in saying how DEEPLY touched I am that your son's racing team has been named in honor of Josi and Grunt. I can't tell you how much that means to me. My boy would be so proud, and you can believe that his Warrior spirit will be right there with Josi's, running with your son's car! Thank you from my heart.

Well it has been a very long day, but all seems calmer now. The frig got fixed and the GE guy was so kind to charge me nothing even after he gave Brian an estimate of $200-$300 so that was a very pleasant surprise Josi is having another good day eating up the freshly cooked chicken like a machine. Her lips haven't been as hot as the past few days,but they are still colorful and she is resting beautifully. My neighbor brought her tiny yorkie Max over tonight and Josi very much enjoyed seeing him and rolled over for him to nuzzle up to her belly. I have another busy day and night tomorrow, but Friday is just around the corner - WOOHOO!

Glad you got your frig repaired, and at no cost. That was great. Good to hear Miss Josi is still eating like a horse. Yep, the weekend will soon be here. I'm sure you're ready.

i haven't been online for a few days and i'm so glad to see that josi is still continuing her fight! way to go, josi.
staci...sorry to hear about the fridge. what a bummer! but at least it's fixed and behind you now.
i'm home today with a stomach virus UGH! but my three babies are loving the fact that i'm home with them. Liam is on the ottoman next to me...Zuki is on the couch at my feet...and Moby is squeezed in next to me against the back of the couch what a cuddle bunch!
