Please pray for Josi

Well I am a little late this time, been really busy at work this week. Sending(((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))), (((((((((((((((((prayers)))))))))))))))), ((((((((((((((vibes))))))))))))) to Ms Josi the Warrior Princess. I am glad she is showing some improvement. She is always in my thoughts as are all of your family. I wish I could say something that would make you feel better, but I don't think anyone could. Know that you are all better for having loved each other, and that is one of the most precious gifts we have been given.

It's been a few days since I read your last post. I'm sorry to hear that she's still recovering from this last bleed. I hope she does better. I'm glad to hear that she's eating and drinking and going potty. That's a good sign right there. I just want you guys to know that your in our thoughts everyday..Ms Josi is such a fighter. sending lots of {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{vibes}}}}}}}}}}} (((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))and positive thoughts.

Thank you very much for your insight on Josi's condition, it is so helpful to have you all Josi has gone through another chicken thigh since I last posted and some pumpkin as well. She just went out and took a good pee and although we helped her with the sling, she did walk to her bed once inside on her own. While she is still extremely weak, I think she is making some baby steps of progress. This morning she would not even pick her head up when I was feeding her and she was only drinking from the syringe, now this evening she lifted her head up laying on all fours and she is drinking from her water bowl on her own! We ended up not calling the vet since she made a little improvement. Instead we will wait this episode out hour by hour and let Josi call the shots. As long as she continues to improve even if it is in small doses, we are going to continue to fight this monster with her 110%. I pray that we will be blessed with another tmeporary miracle and I know that with all your BW prayers and vibes anything is possible. Please continue to give me your opinions of her condition or any ideas of what I could feed her to regain her strength. She hasn't had any of her meds or supplements in over a day now and while I am not going to push them all back on her with a weak stomach...I think I should give her the pred. tonight...what do you think?

I'm so glad to read that Josi is doing ok today,and that she's eating,and doing 1's +2's.
She continues to be an inspiration to me with her will to keep fighting.

Keep on fighting Josi if her blood cells replenish she could pull off another one when Harley bled out he was full off blood in his belly you could feel it and he declined within hours sounds to me like a week of this and she could pull it off it took 7 to 10 days from him to recover from crashing I also saved the chicken water for him because he liked it you will know in your heart when it is time she must be building herself back up if she can eat and pee and poop during this time Harley had set backs escpecially if he overdid himself

Unforunately when Tossie went through this, her belly was also full of blood. We didn't know what was wrong with her as she just happened to be int he car with us and got very weak, couldn't stand or even lift her head. Luckily we were just a few miles from the vet and we took her. Her determined right away what had happened and felt she was too far gone to even endure the surgery. We left her go then.

If Josi is still eating and going to the bathroom, I would say she will pull through this bleed based on what I went through with Tossie.

I guess I can say I am lucky that I didn't have to go through what you are going through now, watching and waiting but then again, I lost my baby within an hour. If I had known then what I know now, I may have opted to try the surgery, I dont know.

Just know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers, she will pull through this one too. Gentle hugs from my family to yours.

Our Warrior Princess continues to fight and amaze taking another baby step tonight. Josi was on the bed with me while Brian went to the kitchen to cut up some freshly boiled chicken tossed with pumpkin...I kid you not that her ears perked up and her eyes whipped around and she was off to the kitchen all on her own. Through my tears of astonishment and joy I convinced her to lay back down on the rug and Brian brought her bowls over. There was no hand feeding nor syringing water...she took care of that all on her very own. She also took her pred. like the good girl she is and went outside to take a big pee. She is laying back down on the bed now for the night most likely, but all in all this was a promising day Her gums are still very pale and her energy level is still almost nonexistent, but it has improved and that is all I can ask for.

Thank you for continuing to post and keep us in your prayers. I hope none of you ever have to go through this with your babies, but I can say that I could not have done it without you all. As always I will post again in the morning.

Staci, I just happened to remember when we were battling the cancer with Scarlett the vet had an electrolyte drink (chicken flavored) similar to Gatorade. I would warm this and even if Scarlett wouldn't eat, she would drink. This kept her going for a long time. It was somewhat pricey even 6 years ago, but it was worth every penny.

So happy to hear that Miss Josi is still fighting. I believe that after her turn-around from last night, you made the right decision in not calling the vet. When it's time, you will know. Who else knows your baby better than you.
