I have run into a snag. I have to have my truck checked out. I got my inspection sticker on Thursday. The guy came out a little less than half an hour later and told me that it passed, but I needed to replace some hoses, plugs and belts....wanted to charge me $900. Next morning....my check engine light comes on (fishy...isn't it). My friends husband is a mechanic for a Chevy dealer and will take a look...however, they do not get back in town until tomorrow.

What makes me mad is that the truck was running perfect until I took it in. After which it sounded and felt like the idle was running a bit higher than normal. I know they did something. I felt it when I drove away...but can I prove it....no!

So depending on whether or not I am willing to brave moving the car until it is looked at will determine whether we go. :( I'm sure Mailani is going to be wondering why mommy doesn't have her hat on.

Hopefully...I will feel like braving the road.

Wow, that sounds REALLY fishy! Besides, belts, hoses, and plugs would never cost $900. Did your friend's husband check it out? Hope everything is okay!

I didn't make it to the park this morning, still trying to shake this cough so I stayed home. Philip and Sammy went out there, they said they didn't see you, so I guess you didn't feel comfortable driving. Can't say I blame you!

Well the verdict is in. They left a hose unattached (Something about the air flow) and was pinched by something. This made my check engine light come on. JERKS!! I knew something was fishy when I left. I maybe a woman but I'm not stupid. :p Makes you need to have a man around just to get your inspection sticker or oil changed.

Anyway...we will be back at the park on Sunday. Saturday mornings are out for a while, I am starting Saturday classes. I so want to finish school already. Just a few more months to go. I felt so bad that Miss LaniLani was not able to go run. She knew it was Sunday, if you could have just seen the look she gave me when we didn't go anywhere. But...on the other hand..Mr. Ikaika was happy we were still there.

Well, I am glad everything is back to normal now! What were they doing even detaching hoses??? Morons!

I am sure Ikaika was thrilled to have you both home on Sunday! We will probably be out there on Sunday morning.

2 weeks in a row. I am horrible. I ended up sick Saturday night. :( So, no park on Sunday. I barely made it out of bed to walk them (that took all I had). Anyway. Hopefully all will be right with the world this weeked so we can make it out. I need to (actually) my tan is going away. :rolleyes:

We went on Saturday morning because it was so nice, but then didn't make it on Sunday. We won't be there this weekend, but hopefully the next!

Hope you feel better, I know how miserable it is to be sick!

Good Morning Houston!!!

We didn't make it out this Sunday. But, we were at South Padre soaking in the rays there. The doggies had a blast. Ikaika was (of course) afraid of the water (waves), but Mailani wanted to jump right in. :D

We of course will be there this Sunday. Hope to see you there.

Did anybody go out there this weekend? We figured that with all the rain we got this weekend, it would be too muddy. So, much to Sam's dismay, we stayed home. Hopefully we'll be there next weekend!

No. The rain kept us away too. We never knew when it was going to pour. :( I felt so bad. I'm sure when I finally get back there Mailani is going to bark her head off again all the way in. It was getting curved :o
