Been while since I have been on BW (and miss it). I have been thinking about going out the park. Hopefully the weather permits us to try this coming weekend.

Hi Guys,
A bit sad. My Winston has moved upto Illinois with my ex-gf. So he told me to say thanks and give a fond farewell to all those great friends he made down Millie Bush park. I am not sure how many of you guys I actually met at the park over the last year or so, but thank you all for making mine and Winston's times very special.

Animal Planet filming in Houston!!!

Animal Planet wants to do a feature story on the number one dog park in the nation- our own Millie Bush! They would like to see the park in use and have requested lots of background dogs. We have a TENTATIVE FILMING DATE of July 24- the time is to be announced on this site. Please know that with the media, things are often last minute, so please check back with this site often as I will provide updates as I receive them. Let's show the rest of the country how great our park really is! Thank you for your support. Jill / HDPA

I guess Mailani and I will have to take a trip or two out before Sunday. It's been a while since we have been out there. Hopefully she remembers

I didn't mean to be away for so long...but I was busy trying to get out of school. And....I did! Got my BSA in Business Administration, it's finally over (until I make up my mind to go back and get my masters). fiesta1ico

Well...I missed Animal Planet filming at Millie Bush. Did anyone get to go? Did anyone get to be on TV??
If they had been there later than 8am (that's just too early for us), Zeus and I would have made it.

BTW, I forgot to reply to MoonieTX. I remember Winston, he was a flashy fawn. Zeus and I only got to meet him once and he was ripping and roaring everywhere. He was cute. Sorry to hear that he is back up North, but if you ever feel the need to go to the dog park and play with Zeus on Sunday mornings, we will be out there. I will make it a point to drag Celeste (SilverStar) and Mailani out there as well.
And once again...CONGRATULATIONS on Graduating Celeste!!!!

yep...there's very detailed info and maps. i don't remember what the rules are for posting links to other websites, but you can do a search on google for "houston dog park" and it should come up with the correct link. we usually go to the millie bush dog park but there are plenty of others around the houston area.

We only live an hour and a half away from Houston. Maybe the next time I'm in town - we could all get together for a big boxer play date!!

Mailani did great at the park. We passed the camera, but they stayed to one side of the park (so not cool). Although the plan was for Mailani to hang out in front of the camera, that was not the case. Once we passed it we didn't go back.
But, Mailani had a blast! There were several boxers out there. Finally met Lighthill with their beautiful brindles and I saw Scout (again, I believe we met them before when Scout was just a few months old, like 4 months I think). We didn't stay out as long as we normally would, but you could tell Mailani was TIRED. Good thing.
She got her shower from the hose they have out there (which y'all know is her favorite part of the whole thing) and then went home. And by the time we got there she was ready to rumble with her big brother.
We shall return regularly again.

I take Duke (8 months) a lot, but only see 1 boxer once in a while... I would love to meet up with some of you so our boxers can play. Duke lives for going to the Dog park. We do take him to Millie sometimes on the weekends, but it is too far during the week.

We were JUST discussing taking our Laila to the one off Westheimer & Hwy 6. She's not with us yet....she's still too young. But, we'll definitely check back on this thread to see who else is interested in meeting there. She is my BF's and my first pet together. We always go to American Shooting Centers and talk about the dogs we see out there as we drive by!
The Dunlavy park is not too far from us either, since we live in Sugar Land.
