We went out today, despite the rain yesterday. Sam was ready to go, and we couldn't deny him again. They have the pond on the right closed right now, I don't know what they are doing, but it is drained and blocked off. It's a lot deeper than I thought it would be!

Maybe one day they'll put restrooms out there!

they still have that pond closed off? i went there a couple weekends ago and it was fenced off, but not drained. i guess they're fixing the drainage on it then. hmmm...i intended to take zeus out there since the weather had been nicer lately, but i couldn't this past weekend too much going on. he was doing his crazy boxer burns saturday though after it rained really bad. it looked like he was playing slip n slide in the mud across the street from my house. too funny!! maybe this sunday we'll be able to make it again.

We didn't make it :( All day I kept thinking I should have gone. Like many I was expecting it to rain like cats and dogs. Hopefully this coming Sunday.

Howdy!

We did go out Sunday and Mailani had a blast for the short time we were there. We stayed till about 9:30am (she was pooped). So I guess the key is not take them for a while so they can get pooped faster

Anyway, on our way out we saw Porter! And of course Mailani seemed to regain some of her energy. However, mommy didn't.

We didn't make it out there on Sunday, instead Philip took Sam on Monday. Sam spent Thursday and Friday night at grandma and grandpa's house and was pooped! He didn't even want to get out of bed on Sunday morning when I got up!

We should be out there this Sunday, hopefully this cooler weather will stick around!

Where are you guys talking about, if you don't mind my asking? The park on Westheimer or the one on Allen Parkway? We'd love to meet you there for play-time. Rock has had mange for a while and so he hasn't been too sociable - but he's all better now and can't wait to go back to the park - but there's hardly ever any other boxers....

We're talking about the one on Westheimer. We had been meeting out there on Sunday mornings, but everyone's schedules always seem to get in the way. I think we are planning on being out there Sunday morning, Sam won't let us miss it!

We went out this morning and Sam had fun (of course). There are always a lot of boxers out there, I think we saw 6 or 7 other boxers. That second pond is still closed. I don't think Sam's going to like what they've done because there doesn't appear to be any flat ground in it anymore, it's more like a pool now. It will stay more clean now, but Sam likes to just play in the shallow water and it looks like they've taken that away.

Do you think they are going to do the same for the one on the other side? Mailani likes the shallow part too and it would be a shame to change it (those poor babies that like the shallow part are going to hate the new pool. :(
