play dates in Houston, TX

I will try and be there myself. I am only going to bring Mailani (Ikaika got bit once and since then he has issues with male dogs, loves the females though :D )

I was thinking sometime around 9-ish? That way, it is kinda cool weather for them and they won't get overheated so easily? But back to this bark park...it's the one off of Westheimer Parkway, right? Or are we talking about the one on Allen Parkway close to downtown? And I was reading on the houstondogpark website, that the dogs require a license. Is this a City of Houston thing? I haven't heard of it and am wondering what I have to do to get one for Zeus.

Don't we have to just provide records of shots? I haven't been to the website in a long time. I will go ahead and check it out.

Here is the link to the rules. The license they are talking about is the tag that is given to you when you get furbabies annual shots.

I think we are talking about the park off of Westhiemer (the actual dog park), right? :confused:

yeah. they have to have a current rabies tag on their flat-buckle collar, you carry their records and from what i understood a license. but i had never heard of that, otherwise i would have already gotten it.

yes the bark park is the one off rte 6 and Westheimer, inside the George Bush Park, easy to find. All you need is your dog's tags (ID, rabi) and that's it.

9:00 is a little early for me, but I can be there around 9:30-10:00.

The park isn't very big, it wil be easy for us to meet there.

ok!! that's great! i will see everyone there on the 25th starting at 9am!! can't wait!! in the meantime, if i'm able to get out there before then, i will stop by so zeus can start becoming familiar w/the place.

We are early risers. So I may just take Ikaika and Mailani out early and then come back with baby girl (Mailani) to play with y'all. I feel bad for Ikaika, not getting to go. But I just can't risk it. He is sweet, just a little defensive with male dogs, since his attack. :(

That's sweet. Thank you. I usually (not that you have to) go out to the park scene around 7am. People don't start arriving until around 8 or so. So Ikaika doesn't have a chance to get aggitated.

Actually, believe it or not, I have never been at this particular park, I know where it is though. Also, someone told me it gets too muddy and Lupita is so picky, doesn't like mud much, at least not in her yard :p so let's see if she likes it. I would also like to be there earlier, before it gets too crowded or hot!
