Baby Duncan

Boxer Pal
Duncan does the "dig" for play. Seems to let him cut loose on some of his boxer crazies when he is cooped up inside. I have heard that it is great exercise for them so I encourage it when we play inside. (Of course the poor guy isn't allowed on the couch or beds, so destruction isn't a problem!)

Coco'smommy

Boxer Insane
Coco does this too..freaked me out the first time I saw her do it. I laughed until I cried. It was in a beanbag, she was going nuts! Digging and circling and grabbing it with her mouth and moving it around and jumping. I didn't was what wrong with her. She still does it on blankets and on the couch. I'm afraid she is going to rip something sometime so I usually make her stop after a min or two. She gives me this look and plops down like she's all agitated with me.

So, this sounds like this is a normal thing for boxers. I wonder if it's just boxers or other dogs too. My lab use to slightly dig her pillow to nest in it, but gee wiz.......I've never seen a dog get into digging like my boxer!!

Mugsy does this too. he'll dig his pillow and then lay down. I assume he's trying to get it comfortable for him.

RoxMyWorld

Boxer Buddy
Roxy does this too! She starts out boxing the pillow, then jumping on it then she nudges it with her nose until its just right. Of course, then she turns circles on it forever before she finally lays down. I would lay down too. She must be exhausted by all that! We love to watch this. Its soooo funny!
