Clover's Mom

Super Boxer
Well I can't really remember the last time it rained is Southern California, but it's raining now. Clover hadn't experienced rain until last night- and boy she doesn't like it. She refused to go outside, which led to an accident in the house, but I couldn't blame her much...heck I wouldn't want to go outside to potty while having cold rain hit me on the head and back. Then she felt the need to bark at the wind, and the rain hitting the skylights. I could only laugh at her - just the expression on her little wrinkled face. Neither of us got any sleep, then this morning, she stuck her little paw outside to see if it was raining, then slowly creep the rest of the way, while tiptoeing as not to get too wet!

We live in OC and it's the same with us. The pups who LOVE water refuse to go out in the rain. I forced them to go out to pee and also took them for a short walk, but their tails were tucked down the whole time. The just look out the window all day and look at me as if to say "When's it gonna end Mom?? We're bored." :(

Boomer absolutely hates the rain. He'll avoid going out to walk in it at any cost.....does the tiptoe thing too. I've even seen him hang his butt off the edge of the concrete to do his business so he doesn't have to walk on the wet grass!

its been raining here too. Adam LOVES to play in the rain - tho he wont get in the kiddie pool and loves the bath :) He was tearing around like a maniac all morning! Then theres poor Evie!! She would try walking under the umbrella on our walk - Adam's bouncing in all the puddles- and i have to drag her around the block. I tried to leave her home from the walk, but no way was Adam getting a walk and not her!! She hates the rain, hates the bath, hates the kiddie pool. Poor baby!

We had the same storm up here in Northern California yesterday and Courage who is 1-1/2 acted like she had totally forgotten what the rain is like from last winter...

She wouldn't go out either, but she held her bladder until the sun came back out... she would stand in front of the patio door and bark at the rain, but when you opened the door, she looks at you like you're crazy to ask her to go out there...

Cissy isn't one for the rain either. We've had rain and drizzle here the past couple of days. The other day,she really had to go,so I let her out the front door on her tie out and stayed on the porch with her.No way was she going to get those little feet wet. I stepped back inside for a jacket and her she come, back to the door, with a most triumphant look on her little mug. Guess she decided she would get even with mom for making her go out in the bad rain. She did her business on the porch !!! We had a long conversation why that is a
nonoicon. I just couldn't get mad at lose big brown eyes looking up at me :)
Our silly babies,gotta lov em'.

We've just had 3 solid days of pouring rain (much needed we're in a drought at the moment and on strict water restrictions) tigger wouldn't go out in the rain to go either when he was little - he's now 5 months (i know still a baby) but he will atleast go out now. we leave the patio door open during the day when we're home so the dogs can come and go as they need to tigger would rather pee on mummy's floor rather than go out in the rain and get wet when he was very young but now he doesn't seem to care just don't try to towel dry him - he's too busy chasing brandy to stand still and get dried.

Belle HATES rain....loves snow, but hates rain. I swear her bladder swells to 5 gallons, then I still physically have to push her outside to pee.

Well where I live, when it rains it pours. I happen to live at a very bad part of the road where when it rains it floods, and I mean like up to my second porch step, out in the road it can get as deep as 2-2 1/2 feet deep, it can easily stal a car if it tries to go through it. Raven refuses to go outside if she can see water on the ground. She actually went in the bathroom and used the litter box instead of going outside to potty.
