Nitro really didn't care if it's raining or not as long as he get a chance to play outside. It was raining Sunday here in San jose and Nitro hatred the fact that we didn't get a chance to walk but he did get a chance to play in the backyard even though it's raining. So Tuesday even though it's pouring hard I decided that I should take him out and maybe just take him to a few pet store that way he can get his walk without me getting wet, well that was a mistake lol. So I was driving down the freeway with rain pouring hard and Nitro keeps whinning and looking at me since I didn't rolled down the window, well who in the right mind would do this anyway. All of a sudden Nitro stop whinning so I figured everything is ok but when I looked at my rear view mirror to see what he's doing I became worried. I saw Nitro's butt pointed towards the back of my head. I told him to sit but he ignored me completely then I told him down and he just looked at me then it happened he gas me lol. So I was left out with an option to hold my breath as long as I can or roll down the window. Well rolling down the window 1 inch didn't help at all so I ended up rolling my window halfway with rain pouring hard. I looked at Nitro and he got his head sticking outside trying to catch the rain while Im all soaked lol.

Toffee hates rain. It's been rainy off and on here, but we've managed to avoid it for the most part. She also won't walk through puddles most of the time. Snow, on the other hand, she loves!

Rain? YUCK!

Well, my Duffy also hates rain or water in any form other than drinkable water. Here in Portugal we are also starting autumn with some rainy days. She did not leave the house for almost two days in a row other than to do her business very, very quickly and when it was not raining. Other than that she simply prefers not to join me when I go to have a coffee and stay at home.

She also does the same thing as said above regarding other dogs. She puts her nose out of the door just to try and see what happens. And she really does not like when it rains on it!

Samantha and Beau both hate the rain. Then after it rains, they hate to get their feet wet (Samantha more than Beau), so they go potty in the driveway!! Actually, I don't mind them going in the driveway. I can see where they have been, and they don't kill the grass!! ;)

Xena has always been told since day-1 that she is as sweet as sugar! As she grew, she has taken that literally and believes she will melt if she gets rained on! When I force her outside in the rain after hours of her holding herself, she gives me that look that says "I hope the pipes break when you're on the toilet so you can experience what it's like to get wet while trying to take care of business"!! :p Spirit on the other hand, doesn't give a flying-fig! Bring on the rain...more mud..more fun! :rolleyes:

We live in So. Cal as well and Marley and Irie hadn't seen rain before either! They both did the tiptoe thing and twice I had to put on my coat and hat and go outside with them to go to the bathroom!!! Yesterday, when the rain finally let up, we took them to the dog park and they ran non-stop for an hour! I've never seen them so happy to be out of the house!

Thanks Everyone! Love the stories!! :LOL: Here's ours...

Otis is bell trained, so, when he has to go potty, he'll ring the bells. If it's raining out, he'll ring the bells, BUT he will stare outside and will decide how bad he really has to go to warrant getting wet. :LOL: If he thinks he can hold it in a bit longer, he'll just turn around (he is still inside at this point) and go back into the living room and leave me there holding the door open.
If he REALLY has to go and can't wait, he still hesitates but then he bolts out the door, do this thing, then come flying back into the house! :LOL:

Silly Boy!!

Oh yeah....I almost forgot. If it's really pouring out, he wants you to go out with him, holding the umbrella. Now that it's chillier out, he wants his water repellant coat on too! ;

Princess hates the rain! it was raining pretty hard today and she really had to go so i hooked her up to her leash and opened the door and she stuck her head out and just stared outside and started to back up but i took her on the porch and she sat there and looked at me like "Mom, you are nuts if you think i'm going to go out in that!".. so i took her back inside and we went out on the porch 2 more times and then finally on her 3rd time going onto the porch she ran out into the yard and did her stuff and came flying back on to the porch and ended up sliding right into the door! :LOL:

Hi Sara. When Joe was little he would do all of his business under the covered patio! God forbid Sir Joseph get rained on. Guess who had the job of washing down the patio! Yep, no other than me. Thank goodness we live in NM and it does not rain much here!

LOL...I love this thread, and was going to start one myself. Frankie also acts like he is going to melt. He will stand at the door, and when he see's its raining, he will snub his nose up, and turn around, and go back to bed. He will hold it for so long..lol. I open the door, and you can see it in his eyes he has to go bad. So he steps outside on the porch, looks back at me like "i can do it" and he hurries up , and prances in the yard, does his business, careful not to get it all over himself, and RUNS back in the house.
