She has settled down now and is back to sunning herself.

Secretly I am thrilled beyond belief but I would never let her know it. appicon

That Cami!!!!! The more I read about her the more I just love her! I love all Boxers but the ones who need our extra special attention seem to grab at my heart the most. I hope today is going just as well for you guys. After reading several of your posts about thyroid and your most recent post to a question about a thryoid panel, seriously makes me rethink the almost obvious to me - she has quite a few of those symptoms mentioned, especially what I always thought was just "her love for the sun" could be a cold intolerance...she seems to love sunning herself as well. And loves to be under the covers but will eventually uncover at some point in the evening. So is Cami still sleeping alot or has that improved?

Zoey's appetite is continuing to get stronger. If I could feed her every hour on the hour she would gladly eat it. Only problem is if she overeats she generally tends to vomit. I think that could be acid reflux but not really sure - any ideas?

I am so very happy to hear about Cami's latest improvements and can only pray that every day will get a little easier for you as well. I bet your heart was just bursting at the seams when she was so full of spunk and energy

Minor update

Visited with the cardiologist today. Cami spent 3 hours undergoing various tests. Came home with a holter.....much to her dismay. She hates it with a passion however I am quite pleased since we were told that if the results of the EKG today were GOOD she would get a holter.

Blood pressure was normal, and we are waiting for the results of the blood tests to see where her liver and kidney values are. Hoping they have started to come down.

And......

There has been a SLIGHT increase in heart function. I am talking about a teeny tiny bit of improvement! Still nothing to do a happy dance about but at least it wasn't worse and they still hold out hope that further improvement will occur.

Found out that the heart meds can be taken together so that will help the dosing schedule to my advantage mostly in the AM. Thank GOD!

Now I feel like the worst mom ever. Got home after her medication was due but thought I would give it to her later and just stay up later to make up for the final dose of the day.
Totally slipped my mind!
Another medications time came and went as well and I forgot it! YIKES!!!
Finally gave them both together since I CAN. appicon
She won't get any more meds tonight except for her thyroid......I can go to bed at 11pm.
Start everything back up tomorrow morning.
I can go to sleep early but feel just awful that I forgot those two doses.

She is acting like she is uncomfortable with the holter on and it breaks my heart. She doesn't seem to be taking a full deep breath. I know it isn't too tight.....checked like 10 times. She keeps doing the Boxer lean against me and wanting me to DO something to help her. Tomorrow at 3:30 it comes off and we will get the results sometime late next week.

Thank you Cami. You look and act like a healthy boxer babe. I love how you go to window when your mama says "hi". Autry does that whenever I say the word "varmint'. He goes nuts and growls.
