Great news he is beautiful looks like a great fit to your family
How about naming after alol your babies either Tuseka or Kasetu, just a thought congratulations on your new addition

Thank you.. he is a pretty boy.. Has such a pretty dark rust color fawn.. My oldest son Izaak's boxer "Chopper" is so gorgeous, and he has this same color! He has fit in great.. Such a blessing!
I'm pretty sure his name will follow the Native names... however he's been getting called "Hoss" lately.. LOL Just seems to fit sometimes.. but that won't be his name..

I think he is just a handsome guy! What a precious face. :) I know they will be come fast friends forever. I love puppies dearly, but sometimes I think it would be nice to get one that is already crate and potty trained! Congrats on your new addition. :)

 crate trained? LOL Wellll he's learning.. I've begun feeding him in his crate, and giving him treats and bones in there.. so he's starting to associate it with a "Good Place".. So that comes a little at a time, but so far, so good! *whew*
And the first night home.. I think? he whizzed on a nearby plastic office drawer.. But I think it was a combination of excitement and not quite knowing where to go when he had to! But he's not had anything like that since the first night.. So thats a relief!
Thank you.. he is a pretty boy.. and he has the sad sack boxer face down pat! lol

I also read your post when Tatanka passed and was so overwhelmed by the story. I cried for hours, esp after seeing the pics of what they did to him. Absolutely brutal! I hope that they get what is coming to them. I am so GLAD to hear that you have a precious new boy. He looks like such a sweetie. I agree with the others, things happen for a reason and I think this new addition is just what you need to start picking up the pieces. I know that Tatanka will never be replaced or forgotten, but with your new man in the picture at least maybe it won't be so hard. I look forward to hearing what happens with the vet!

Thank you.. I can't tell you how many times it still hits me when I see these pics.. as I've used Craigslist over and over to post and warn ppl. I'm just shocked by all the emails that I get from others that tell me of their own horror stories about this specific vet hospital that killed my precious TaTanka.. I will definately keep all updated on the progress..
And yes, the new guy does help fill a terrible void.. It was lonely with out our boy around.. and Sequoia, Mum, and I are all happier now.. I think that the "new guy" is kinda happy to be in his FOREVER Home too!

He is ao handsome. I believe he was meant for you and your family. It works out well with him being a male. Our last addition was Cat, a female and it took quite a bit of work. I connot wait to hear what you name him. ;)

Cat.. Welll thats another subject.. He's NOT fond of cats, and this has been scary, so we may be rehoming our two that we took in last year.. I really hate to, but.. in reality, the ppl that were going to dump them at the pound, had declawed them, and they want sooo bad to be outdoors, and everytime I open a door, I have to chase after them. It scares me to death! As we have coyote, bobcat, and fox here.. and they wouldn't have a chance!
I have a rescue group that is working with me, as I want to make sure that they stay together.. and that they are in a very loving home that can assure their safety.. keeping them INDOORS..Someone with a nice screened lanai / patio would be nice, as they sooo want to be outdoors sometimes.
And thank you.. He is a nice looking boy.. I was suprised when I saw him! Needs to put on a bit of weight, but that will come in time.
Trust me, soon as I come up with his name.. you all will hear it! lol
Blessings..

Congrats on your new addition. fiestaicon You're an angel!! I don't know the story about your precious TaTanka but from the info. on the previous posts I hope whoever is responsible is sent to jail for a very long time. I loved all your pics. Your new addition is absolutely gorgeous and seems to be doing very well. I think he was sent to you by TaTanka without a doubt. God bless you for all your doing for your mom. My mom was with me for two years at around the same age as your mom. She has since passed. We have only one mom and thank God we can do what we can for them while we can. Continue to post on how your new baby is doing. All the best.

*aww* Thanks.. I appreciate that.. And your so right.. Our elders are so very precious.. Mum has always been #1 with me. I think of all she gave to 5 kids, and also taking in foster kids to help others.. So it's time to give back! I only wish some of her other children lived in the area, as she misses all the family so! But she is not healthy enough to fly.. so hopefully some of them will visit before its too late.. :(
I am sorry to hear about your mother's passing.. When I lose Mom, it will be tough, as we're kind of like two peas in a pod! lol And she's all I have here in Az in the way of family. It will leave just me and the pups! So they are most precious to me.. they're my family!
And TaTanka died due to negligent vets that neutered him and did not ligate his testicular vessel, allowing him to slowly bleed to death. Ignoring my pleas to help him, Insisting he was OK.. / STABLE.. obviously not.. and he paid the price. Just sickening.. but he will be vindicated.. I will see to it!
And yup.. *winks* I believe TaTanka has a part in this.. He knew we needed a CALM boy.. that would allow Sequoia to be the BOSS! ha!
Thank you again for your kind words..

They look great together lovicon

I hope in time that he helps to mend your broken heart and Sequoias'.

When our beloved Sophie died our boxer boy Dino changed a lot too, then our wee rescue Charlie came along and brought Dino back to us. She came along just when the time was right, I do believe a wee bit of Sophie has come back with her to help us all.

I know what you mean about having a different colour of dog, all our boxers have been brindle and Charlie is fawn, takes a bit of getting used to!

Good luck with everything and I look forward to finding out your boys name :D

Well.. he has already helped us alot.. Kind of suprising, since he's merely been here a week. But its like there's already a bit more peace with all of us. Was kind of strange.. as I thought when I got a new boy.. that I'd be so excited and thrilled, but I was feeling kind of sad.. I felt horrible about it too, and couldn't quite understand it. I knew that it was partly because of my precious TaTanka, but still.. it was just odd. Also I've never had a boxer that wasn't from puppy age.. and I was a bit nervous. Not knowing his ways, and temperment. Long ago we had a horrid experience when adopting a white female boxer from a rescue in Fl, and she attacked and ripped my boy Tuff E. Nuffs face up! Just so quick, and I had to tackle her to get her off him, and she tried to bite me. So I was very nervous about this. BUT, figured I needed to realize that this boy needs us, as much as we needed him. And he's just wonderful! I could not ask for a better buddy for Sequoia, and he's such a love. We are so very blessed..
TaTanka did a good job! *wink* He sent us an angel.. and a little bit of himself.. I always believe in that. Yet this screwball is himself, totally.
Am getting used to the "color" lol In fact we are now very pleased with the fact that he's different.. I think it does help.
