I am pretty new here to BW and Karen your story about TaTanka shocked me! It is very scary to think that something like that could happen. But I just wanted to comment on how beautiful your new boy is and I wish you the best in the future I'm sure he will be a wonderful addition to your family!

OH! Mojave is a cute name! Just now saw this.. My p/c is on its last leg... So I've not been on much.. and been busy busy.. What a great suggestion! Dangg.g.. but.. we've finally named him... a few weeks ago.. maybe a month? Anyway, he is now called ROOSTER! Take a peek at "Show off your boxer" I just posted why he is dubbed Roo Roo Rooster!

Thank you {{{{{Tracy}}}}}.. I just saw this post.. Sorry it took so long for a reply! Been crazy tryin' to be my own "tech" on this ol' p/c.. Think I need a new one! Ha!
I am still working with an attorney against these vets that killed my precious TaTanka.. They're ins. co. has agreed to pay, but they wish to decide how much he is worth.. They don't have that right.. Not as far as I'm concerned anyway.. So it's in litigation.. I miss him terribly, and do ok sometimes, and other times.. just break down..
It's been really hard not having his services as a service animal too.. but that is part of why the battle has begun with these incompetent vets.. as my disabilities have increased over the 3 yrs of training with TaTanka.. and there's no way I can train another on my own. Sequoia was trained along with TaTanka, so knows the moves.. but she is high strung.. so I'm not sure.. and I was hoping Rooster may step into TaTanka's service harness, but.. he's not got much basic training, and is so stubborn! Maybe in time, but for now, a professional trainer is accessing Sequoia, as he thinks she may be the best bet.. *grinz* Probably mostly because I've got her on the right track already..The vets will have to pay to have her trained if she is right for the job.. I'll just be glad when I have a service animal to work with..Sure makes life easier for me!

I have not been on BW very often over the last few months but I was wondering how you and your family were doing. I searched for postings by you and found this one. How wonderful that you have a new baby and that everyone is getting along so well. I am sure that he is filling a little of that big emptiness in your heart. I too believe that TaTanka sent Rooster to you.

Please continue to let us know what is happening with the vet/lawyers. I am crossing my fingers for justice. I also send healing vibes to you and your mum.

Thank you for the kind words and thoughts.. And yes, ol' Roo Roo is a blessing.. Even if he is a smart feller.. or.. is that fart smeller! LOL! Think the latter fits him well! *peee u*! Thinking he may need to be wormed.. Thats on the agenda.. Stool testing.. Coz Sequoia rarely ever has gas, what with feeding raw.. Unless its the liver.. Then that does it everytime. *yeeeeeeek*
We're doing good.. Rooster is a blessing.. Sequoia loves him.. and he's a holy freakin' terror.. Of course dealing with a baby that hasn't had much training if any at all.. Is a total learning experience! Not like a puppy that you can ALPHA much easier.. He's a stubborn cuss and strong as a bull.. But little by little. he'll learn.. He's so lovable and acbsolutely a total Jester! We love him much..
As for the case for my precious TaTanka.. this groups insurance co. has agree'd to pay, but we're working on amount now.. He was a trained service animal, and by heaven, they are going to compensate me.. because my disabilities have gotten worse in the last 3yrs, and I just don't have the strength and balance ot train another as I had trained TaTanka.. He was such a natural.. A true blessing..
I will keep all posted.. When a settlement is reached, I'll definitely let all know.. My boy has every right to be vindicated.. I still break down, mostly its at bedtime.. As I miss him terribly.. Each one of our babies is so special in their own mannerisms.. and thats just tough to have ripped away from you.. He will always be sorely missed.. A life ended far too soon, by incompetent vets.. *sigh*
Again.. Thank you... I need to post new pics of Rooster & Sequoia.. they're such a hoot together.. Ms. Sequoia is definitely ALPHA..and Roo Roo respects that.. Basically? He could care less! LOL!

Heya! Just posted above this message... about Rooster.. He's doing great.. KING of his castle here.. yet in our circle?? the QUEEN is "KING".. Sequoia dominates! They're a great match.. Still funny to see a FAWN boxer in our lil' family here.. But he's a sweety.. and we adore him..
