Neighbor...Boxers...Ugly??

LOL....Jenny that's what I tell everybody..."my walls are plastered with Boxer Babes & Hunks!":D Xena's been whispering thoughts of all the "hunks" so far, and if that's not bad enough...she dreams of them too! I'm sure last night in her sleep she was calling "Joooooeeee":p

I just can't believe anyone would say that! Slobbery, sometimes, messy, sometimes, rambuncious(sp) usually, loving, always....but NEVER NEVER ugly!!!! That is just wrong!
Some peoples kids...they just dont have any manners!

I had the same thing happen to me recently. A friend of mine says to me, "boxers are obnoxius and slobbery. I would never get one!" Her neighbor has two and she is generalizing against all from them. Her neighbors' do not get any exercise and as a result are off the wall. My reply to her comment was simply "I would not keep any dog if it continually bit people over and over regardless of the circumstances" and at that the subject was dropped. She has a shepard which is on his way to being put to sleep. He is vicious and has bit at least 5 people. Only 2 have been reported. Their comment on the dog is that all these people asked to be bit. (I am not generalizing about shepards)

I had to laugh about the calling the skin kid ugly...it is the truth though! Nobody would come out and tell you that your child was ugly. I know I am biased but boxers are the cutest dogs in the world! :D :D :D Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so at least you know you've joined the right group here knowing we are all boxer fanatics!

Somebody said the same thing to me awhile ago and it just
blew my mind. I just can't believe when you look in Max's eyes
and his cuter than anything little face. I honestly don't know
what these people think. Like what do I see that they don't??
I think Max is the cutest dog I have ever seen especially when

I never ever thought of Boxers as ugly even before we got Marco. I was really caught off guard this past weekend when my sister in law said "Marco has a face only a mother could love!" And then the rest of the family agreed that Marco is ugly. How dare they! I just wanted to tell them all to get out of my house. Even family members should keep quiet when they don't have anything nice to say!

If you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything. I would have been upset, I know not everyone is a boxer lover but its just repectful not to make comments about someones pet like that. Ive always thought boxers where beautiful, but now owning two of them I really know how beautiful they are. Majestic looking with great temperments.

Yeah I get that too everyone says you have a boxer oh they are ugly.. Then on the other hand you get those that think Boxers are the cutiest dogs ever. Same thing with English Bulldogs.. When I tell people I have one they say ohhhhh those are those really fat dogs huh.... Yup and they have messed up teeth and can break wind like you cant believe.... If you dont think they are cute stay away from my breeds... I dont go around saying oh you have one of those and point at their kids do I... Maybe I should.. Some of them need to put their kids on leashes...o

I get people commenting ALL the time about my Bostons. i find that alot of people think they are the ugliest dogs ever... infact... my mother thought kuma was the ugliest dog she'd ever seen until we got sherman... then he was. she always calls them my daughters ugly dogs. when she found out i was getting a boxer, she said "Can't you get a normal looking dog. why dog you insist on getting the ugliest dogs on earth that snort and drool and fart???" she likes hunting type breeds like labs and retrievers, i like bully dogs like bostons , mastiffs and boxers. personally i think those little lasapso and shitzu dog are ugly but they are someones fav breed.

i used to get really offended when people made comments about my beautiful boys, or "Pig-dogs"as they are often called by passer-bys.. but now i look at it as, there opinion. and "no he is not growling, he just snorts alot when he is happy and it sounds similar" has become a frequently used fraise in my vocab, when people accuse them of being snarly.

I think boxers are the most beautiful large breed on the planet and bostons are the most beautiful smaller breed. not everyone may agree... but all the better... it just means more boston and boxer kisses for me!!

I have a neighbor who sees me walk my two everyday, and everyday he yells to me, "Are you still walking them ugly dogs?" He laughs at himself everytime he says it too. He is owned by three Yorkies so he is not used to the wrinkly short mugs. I don't get offended. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I don't find long muzzled breeds cute at all.:rolleyes:
