Hey All,
I haven't been around here in quite a while. I've had a lot of change over the last year. My husband and I divorced and I've moved from Vermont to New York, Not a bad thing. My pack was reduced to just my two boxers Biscuit and Poncho and my horses...The rest of the gang stayed with my ex..... I'm not normally an overly religous person but at this point I'm willing to try anything.....Poncho recently had a small mass the size of a dime removed and the results from his biopsy was a grade II mast cell tumor.....I work as a tech at a vet office so we went back in and removed more of the surrounding tissue....Please say a prayer with me that the results will come back that we got all of the tumor....The margins were very close on the first biopsy.....We are going to do a bone marrow graft and take a slice from one or two lymph nodes to biopsy and then he will have chemo or radiation if needed Poncho is only four and is my rescue.....You couldn't ask for a more loving, well behaved boy....Please say a prayer for him that the tumor was localized and that it hasn't spread to his organs....The vet I work with said that the area his was, just below his left knee was the place to get one if you had to so at least that gives me a little peace of mind but it's still very hard to come to terms with.....Poncho had a very harsh life before coming to live with me and I don't understand why this is happening to him....Not that I would wish it on any dog but with him he's had enough to go through in one life time....On a happier note Biscuit is still full of piss and vinager and doing as good as ever...
