Update
Well after hounding the lab for Maddie's recut biopsy results, we finally received the report last night. I knew in my heart/gut what the results would be and I was right. The recut did not show any tumor in the piece we removed from Maddie's pancreas. So it is confirmed now, the malignant tumor is still inside my baby. I feel like I let my baby down, I feel like I failed her and the guilt is overwhelming. We will run a few more tests on Tuesday to pretty much rule out a few things (which the doctor already thinks the test will be normal) but she wants to be 100% sure. She will be started on prednisone and I pray that will at least help stabilize her levels. I just want my old Maddie back........the way she was before I put her through that surgery. She is still not herself, her numbers are still dropping and/or remaining pretty low. So now we wait for the results of the new tests we will be running and if I remember correctly I think the internist said we will re-ultrasound her in a month (not like that will do us any good now). I am just so upset right now. I guess I can only hope for her to have some type of "rare" or uncommon problem (which would hopefully not be something bad) be causing her hypoglycemia instead of a malignant tumor on her pancreas. We will be rerunning the test they use to diagnose insulinomas, I wonder if her levels will be even worse now.
We can still use all the prayers and positive thoughts if you can spare them. I can't thank you all enough for being here for us and keeping my baby in your thoughts and prayers. I will update again when we get the bloodwork back on the new tests we will be running. I guess I am still trying to hold onto the teeniest, tiniest glimmer of hope that something will help her.
