Carrie, thanks so much for taking the time to update, you and Maddie have been on my mind all day. It's so great that you are able to stay with her - less stress and mom's presence and TLC will make for better healing. I'm so sorry she has to go through this (and you right there along with her!) but at least now you know more about what's going on inside of her. Hopefully her glucose levels will stabilize soon and she can be taken off the morphine....and go home!!! The healing and positive vibes are going out for your baby girl nonstop, and I am praying for the very best for her. Gentle hugs for the both of you.

I just caught this thread because I was away but want to send lots and lots of get well vibes to Maddie and prayers for a good biopsy report. Do you guys have access to the Fentanyl patch? It goes right on their skin and is time released pain medicine so they don't have to take it orally. It lasts for 5 days and then you remove it and flush it down the toilet. Austin had one after his last surgery and it was great.
