We had some eye issues with our male boxer a few times. We took him to a eye specialist because of a scratched cornea. I remember we had to put 2 types of drops in his eyes for a few weeks or so. Yes, the eyes heal very quickly--but it is very improtant that you get them started on the right meds.... I remember that the meds we got first from our regular vet--were not the best for the condition . The eye specialist prescribed something different and his eye cleared up very rapidly. So I would recommend going to a specialist before i would let them sew his eye shut-- that doesn't make any sense to me.
