Need Help/Information on Brain Tumors and Strokes

I received a voicemail from Dr. Verna tonight. Dr. Verna consulted again with Dr. Kruesi about Baxter's prednisone. If you remember, Dr. Kruesi wanted Bax off the pred and we tried to wean him off but were not successful. Dr. Verna agreed that if his quality of life was better on the pred then we could leave him on a maintenance dose. With all that said, Dr. V's voicemail tonight talked about weaning Bax off the pred and onto a plant derived steroid. She is not available until after 8:00 p.m. tomorrow evening (isn't this how it always works out!) so I thought I would check with you guys and see if anyone is familiar with plant derived steroids. Has anyone used them before or know anything about them? On one hand I would love to get Mr. B off the pred but on the other I hate to disrupt him while he's doing so well. Any and all insight is welcomed! Thanks in advance

Tonight's the big night! Happy Birthday to Baxter. I know everyone will have a wonderful time tonight. Can't wait to see pics of the gang in their party gear.

I've never heard of plant derived steroids, sounds very interesting. I'd likely ask a pharmacist at the local apothecary where they compound drugs. These pharmacists get so many different requests they would likely know.

Hope Baxter and company have one very memorable night this evening.
