Update!
The angry line of boxers can stand down, currently I am still employed
Baxter gets stronger with each passing day. He is still a little wobbly and has a definant tilt to the right but he continues to improve.
We have spoken to our "team" of doctors. It is evident now that Baxter suffered from an addisonian crisis. Dr. Kruesi said that Baxter's body is now dependant on the pred and therefore he will need to remain on it (atleast we can now all agree and feel we have done everything else). Our supplement protocol currently remains the same although I continue to seek out other alternatives that help to maintain his quality. Dr. Verna is doing distance reiki for Baxter, I'm hopeful this will help. Our oncologist fears that Baxter may have suffered a "focal bleed" during his crisis. She stated that if the pressure in his head got too high, it's very possible that it caused this bleed (stroke). If this is the case, his tilt and wobbliness may not improve. We keep all our toes, fingers and paws crossed that this is not the case and that with each day, he will continue to improve.
Thank you again for all those wonderful thoughts, prayers and vibes! We will continue to keep you posted on our progress.
