My NEW Boxer

My hubby gave me a baby boxer tonight for Christmas.(we've been talking about getting another boxer.) I picked her out and she is beautiful! She's 7 weeks old and is a brindle w/ black mask. This is our 2nd boxer. Our first baby, Ruby (fawn) is now 14 months old. Let me guess, our house will be hopping for awhile.
Any advice from those who have 2 boxers???

My advice is...hang in there!

Now, when the two boxers play, don't get alarmed. They might play rough, or sound as if they are playing rough, but they are normally just playing.

I am sorry if I missed this, are the boxers boy/girl, girl/girl, boy/boy?

Be ready for a nightly, or daily, "boxer bash," as we call it in our house. It gets pretty wild. My house has sort of a circular pattern in it. You can go from one room to another and end up, in the long rung, in the same place. The boxers love it. It causes problems, though, when we are trying to catch them. There is always a place to run and hide!

We had a good first night all together. The baby slept w/ us until she fell asleep, then we put her in her cozy crate. She whined just for a couple minutes 3-4 times in the middle night, but then fell right to sleep w/o me having to get her. But at 6 this morning, she wanted to get up. She went potty 1 and 2 and then was ready for her breakfast and then it was time to play.
We have 3 females in the house now. Our lab is almost 13 and is very slow and independent. Then, there is Ruby (boxer #1), who is 15 months and our new baby girl. We're not sure of her name. I'm leaning toward Lexi or Chessi...but not sure yet. Time will tell.
We're tyring to teach Ruby how to play w/ the baby. All Ruby wants to do is pounce on her and be rough. I'm sure w/ some practice playing, Ruby will learn to be gentle. ( I hope)
Looking forward, I think, to the boxer bash!!

Awww, that is so sweeett!! I am jealous, I want a 2nd but we don't have enough bed room!
