My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my boy in a similar way last winter - he was hit by a train and I was holding him in my arms when he took his last breath. Definitely the most emotional moment of my life. What helped me a bit when I lost Leroy was to collect pictures and make a large frame full of all sorts of pictures of him. Take the time you need to grieve. Eventually, you'll remember only the good times.
