thats for the vibes guys

well the vet doesn't know what it is - she thinks he might hav concussion from playing with brandy anyway he came home on monday night and was like himself but still a bit sleepy. Tuesday he was fine but tired easy but played and ate like normal. then Tuesday night had dinner and then got the trembles again and at midnight he was not well again and this morning the same - hard to wake up - i actually took a little bit of video footage and showed the vet this morning - today she ordered full blood works and is a little worried that he might need to see a specialist to see if he if fitting and why.

he is at work with me now and isn't too bad but a bit timid.

will keep up posted re the blood work and if they show anything

i hope mya is doing better, its so hard to deal with when our babies are sick.

lovicon Sending Tigger lots of positive healing vibes. It is great you had the thought of the video, I take pictures but that can't show as much, don't have a video camera.
I hope they find out what is going on and that it is not serious. It is so hard when they get sick, if they could only tell us how they feel.
Look forward to your updates.

We are praying that Tigger gets well soon and that he does not have what the vet has diagnosed Mya with. Our vet (and the other 5 that work there) have diagnosed Mya with hypertrophic osteodystrophy (HOD). This is a bone disease in medium to large breeds that is still some what of a mystery to vets. It is curable but it is also so dibilitating that they sometimes need put down. Mya has been getting dropped off at the vet for the last 3 days so they can monitor her and administer her antibiotics then she comes home at night so we can keep an eye on her. She had improved since sunday but as soon as the antibiotic IV is taken out she regresses. She is more alert but still unable to walk or hold herself up. I hope no one ever has to endure this! Mya just lays around, because she can't stand up, and cries. We have to carry her everywhere and we have to hold her up so she can do her business. Very stressful. She is starting her treatment tonight so we won't know anything for another day or so. If this medicine does not work the vet said our last resort is prednisone. We are praying that she comes out of this as soon as possible. Thanks for all the support and I hope that Tigger does not have to endure this!

i'm so sad for little mya and you- i really hope the meds can help your poor baby please keep us posted - i now how stressful this can be.

Tigger's vet ran last night and his blood test show a healthy young puppy - which is great but she still wants him to see a nerologist (sorry i'm a bad speller - dr of brains and nervious system i believe) so that is next Tuesday, she also said he might just have a sleep disorder which sometimes will make him very tired and hard for him to wake up humans can have this disorder as well.

anyway he is at home today with his big sister brandy, he was awake and very much like the old tigger this morning - looking for FOOD and playing up a storm, i can't wait to get home and check on him this afternoon.

thanks everyone for your healing vibes and good wishes.

hi all, just an update on tigger, we saw the neurologist yesterday and she said it could be:-

addisons disease ("adrenocortical insufficiency" is an inability of the body to produce enough natural adrenaline (cortisone) in physically or mentally stressful situations)
a concussion, or
3 different neurological disorders,
a strange reaction to something he ate. -

she hasn't given us much to go on at the moment (as we have to have more tests done to rule out each of the "could bes" starting with the addison disease because if left untreated it is fatal but it can be treated if picked up and for now he is like his old self - so here's hoping it was a one off.

thanks for all you healing vibes.
