Just thought i'd give you another update.

It's been over 5 weeks now since tigger started his tablets and he has not had one of his turns since - thankfully although the tablets made him awfully tired and hungry/thirsty we have now reduced his tablets to 1 per day and he is almost his old self - playing hard and full of energy. its so nice to have him well and to have both boxers playing together again - brandy is so happy to have him feeling well and playing with her.

So glad that your little furbaby is on the mend.

However, in view of your dog's current neurological problems and compromised immune system, you might want to reconsider getting him vaccinated in the future since adverse reactions are more likely to occur with these conditions. Be sure to discuss this with his neurologist.

Just to let you know his neurologist has told us not to get him vacinated until he is about 2yrs but for the life of me i cant remember why (will ask why when i speak to her in the about 2 wks). before he got sick he had had all his shots so it wasn't due to that. appartently this can just happen to some medium to large breeds - he should then be ok to be vacinated again after he turns 2 as this is when most dogs outgrow the condition.

I just found this thread and read all that you've gone through. I feel your pain, although my trip has ended in a diagnosis of cancer. I know how hard it is to keep taking your baby to the doctor and coming back without any answers. But you've made it and your baby is getting better! Cadence (my baby) and I are so happy for you! Give your baby lots of kisses for us!!
