my house is haunted by 2 ghosts. I don't know the history of the house and I can't find anything about it anywhere, but I know it's haunted because I have seen one of the ghosts. It was about 1:30 or 2:00 am and I was on night shifts so I was very awake (and not on any medications or substances may I add) and my boyfriend Chris was upstairs sleeping when I looked up and on my stairs was a man standing there in a white shirt peeking around from behind the wall (instead of those spindle things along under our railing we have a full wall, thats what I mean by wall, not sticking out of the wall). At first I thought it was Chris because it looked like him, but then I realized that it couldn't have been him. We had just moved in and our dresser wasn't upstairs yet and all of our clothes were in the basement. Chris was wearing a black shirt to bed and had no white shirts upstairs. As I realized that it wasnt him the figure pulled itself back behind the wall up the stairs. I sat on the couch frozen and in shock. I knew when I very first moved into the house that it had a presence but I have felt presences many times but never have I seen them. This was so clear, so vivid I can't begin to explain how exactly it looked. A few minutes later I got the guts to get up and walk over to where it was, I approached slowly and silently I peered around the corner expecting the worst, and nothing was there. I was relieved. I turned on the hall light at the bottom of the stairs (I don't know why I thought that would make me feel better but it did) and then I walked back into the living room, I turned and sat back down on the couch and watched tv for a few seconds when I realized that it was really dark, I looked over at the stairs and the light was off and the upstairs light was on! I got up and walked back over to the steps again thinking I was going to see a ghost on my stairs and again I saw nothing. So I turned off the light upstairs and then flicked it on again then back off. I called up to Chris who was trying to sleep and asked him if the hall light came on turned of then back on then off again and he said yes! So the ghost turned on my upstairs light and turned off the light I had switched on. I told Chris about it when I got upstairs for bed he was half asleep so he didnt remember me telling him about it. When I reminded him he freaked right out! He is so scarred of ghosts! A few days later he saw it too, not as much of it but he saw something going up the stairs, he first thought it was the dogs but both were laying on the floor in the living room with him. He has also woken up suddenly because he heard someone scream in his ear, he has had lucid dreams of the bedroom door opening and a small girl walking in and vanishing and I have had a very similar dream the next night when we described the girl she sounded the same!
The dogs have a dog door and can go potty anytime they need when we are home and we have heard one of them downstairs then suddenly we hear its nails trying to grip the floor in the kitchen and they scamper up here and jump on the bed and laydown shaking. I PITY THE GHOST WHO TRIES TO FRIGHTEN MY DOGS!!
Chris and I have both heard: vibrating noises in the house not the fridge on the wall kind of noise but like the whole house is vibrating, knocking on walls and doors, doors squeeling being opened slowly, inaudable talking from the living room and when you try to listen it goes away, we have many cold spots in our house, we have lately been having light bulbs go out 1-2 per day in random rooms on random levels. We have pulled into the driveway and looked up to our room and seen something move in the window (and our bedroom door is closed so the dogs don't sneek up on the bed so the room is supposed to be empty), doors that were closed we have come home and found them open same as cupboards, those are just a few!
Whatever presence is in our home I have talked to it and told it that we want to live together and we want a peaceful home and we have never been really frightened (well I haven't, Chris has!) I do feel like there are atleast 2 ghosts in our home.
