My Dharma girl...run free

RockyCody

Completely Boxer Crazy
Thanks everyone....it's been a rough week. Rocky seems to be doing ok - just very whiny/needy. Laying on her sweater on the bed she always laid on. We brought her home last night. Some of her ashes we will sprinkle outside by the cot she always loved to lay on..some we will bury by the garden/new raspberry bush we planted this year. That's now going to be my Dharma raspberry bush. We will put a little in this photo urn that we have sitting on our mantle as well. I miss her beautiful grey face and her sassy treat tantrums. :( <3 <3

I knew that we may not have a lot of time with her when we first got her - but the longer she was with us the more I knew this would hurt - but I also knew it was coming sooner than later given the choice to rescue a senior. Still....can't prepare you for it. I'm so thankful it was a peaceful experience helping her to the bridge and that her vet came in on the weekend to be with us (when she wasn't' even supposed to be at work). The vet came in and cried with us....she loved Dharma as well and had enjoyed helping us keep her going for 3 years. Every single person that met Dharma loved her - she just had that beautiful boxer temperament and she touched every person she met. I wish she could have lived forever...but in a healthier body. :(

Glad it's a story of how it ended and not how it started. She knew love, comfort and how to be spoiled. Blessed is the time she spend with your family. May the good memories be a comfort. Run free at the bridge Dharma until you meet again.
