My boyfriend and my boxer have the same name!!!

hahahah this is funny I just want to share...

When I first got my boxer at 4months old my boyfriend, back then named him 'Nikotine' because my dog ate cigarrets!!! yes I dont think if this is a boxer thing but he did.. he would pick up and eat the cigarret butts from the floor... good thing he doesnt do that any more, he is 1 1/2 years old. I have always called him Niko and he has always respond to his name!! but now I have a new boyfriend... his name is Nicolas and they call him Niko!!!!... so when I'm around him and I say "Niko" they both turn.. its funny and a lil embarassing. I want to change my dogs name but I kind of dont want to at the same time... I know its rude and I would not like to date anybody that calls his dog like me... =( so I started calling my boxer "kiko" but my family and friends also know him by "Niko" and they all call him nIko... aaahhh what to do??

Make him suffer by having to turn around every time you call Niko imo. Or you should just ask the bf to change his name . Start calling him kiko and since he's new your friends and family will figure thats his name no? haha. Don't know what to tell you. I don't know that i'd change any names. I'd probably just keep calling the dog Niko and the bf w/e you normally call him.

hahaaha.. changing my bfs name was the first thing that came to my mind too... but he likes his name... and there arent that many names that rime w niko???

That is funny!! i agree... boyfriend needs a name change!!

My son has a friend whose Mom is named Zoe - same as our girl dog. I always feel funny calling the dog by name when he's over.
