My boxer Tank dies suddenly :(

It does sound like a heart related issue but one thing that caught my attention is the black stools you found. Usually if they're black, that means maybe there was blood in it which may indicated stomach/intestines bleeding or something to that effect? Not sure but I wanted to point that out...
I have two boxer boys (Zeus is 6 1/2 yrs old and Titus is 6 yrs old).
I just found out couple days ago that Titus has bladder tumor which is inoperable and there is nothing they can do for him. It's not an easy thing to go through and it's sad that so many of us have to go through this... I try to stay positive but I know the day is coming when I will have to say goodbye's.. :(
I am too wondering of how Zeus will be effected when the time comes. They grew up together and are VERY close so I know it will be hard for him. I also thought of getting a boxer pup but not sure if that would be a good idea?
How's is Cassie doing? Did you decide to get the boxer pup?

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I just posted a couple of hours ago about our loss of Porter last night due to bloat.
My heart goes out to you. When they are taken so suddenly, it is so difficult to process it. I am hoping that in time we will all find peace with our losses.
We too have another Boxer who is now without her lifetime companion. We are indulging her with love and feel that we will take each day as it comes and that the situation will come when we know that it is time to bring a new member into the family.
Our runs on the beach and trails will not be the same without Porter and Scota as a pair. But his spirit will be with us each step of the way. The same for Tank and Cassie.
