So sorry to hear about your boxer. My wife and I rescued a wonderful brindle male. We`ve had him three weeks today and he has fit in just wonderfully with the female we already had.He was very ill when we brought him home.He ended up costing a great amount in vet bills but has rewarded us ten times fold with his great disposition and love.Good luck with your search.Matt

I feel your pain i also had to put down my first boxer due to problems back in 97 . I got a new pup in feb of this year and its great but he will never replace Millie . The good thing is because of Millie i'll always love boxers . Good luck with your puppy search .

I want to say that I'm terribly sorry for your loss, and my prayers go out to you and your family.

I noticed you are in Western NY, where abouts? The breeder of my puppy (see pics) has 2 male puppies left. Just curious if you are near me?

God bless!

I am so sorry for your loss but I truly believe that you are visiting the right site if you are looking to surround yourself with caring, honest and sincere dog lovers here at BW.

I am new to this site by way of posting but I have been reading for a long while.

I still miss my DJ who died in '85. Daisy has brought wonderful pleasure into our life. I found out that she was to be put down by her breeder because she was white, and I went home & begged my fiance to save her.

On September 16 of last year, we drove 11 hours on the Saturday to get her and 14 hours on the Sunday to get her home (puppy "breaks" you know!).

She has been the most wonderful addition to our lives. I trly believe that my desire for a good dog & my willingness to wait brought us together.

Don't rush. Take the time to heal, and I wish you the absolute best of luck in finding the perfect fit for you!

Completely Boxer Crazy
Welcome to Boxerworld.
I understand your grieving as I had my 13 yr old put down Nov 1st. What a trooper to the bitter end. Still so fiesty for seniors.

I am also from Western NY (Buffalo area). I am new to it, but am involved in showing my new babies, and have met and become friends with several of the breeders in our area. As the others have suggested, check the breeder page link provided here for breeders that health test, etc.
You could check with the Boxer Club of WNY also. I am not a member, but am friends with many of them. Perhaps they can assist you also. Yesturday, their page link was not working properly, but keep trying.
There are a few dog shows coming up in our area and it would be a great idea to go to them and see what dogs you like and meet the breeders. Its best to wait till their done showing for the day though, when theres more time to talk and answer your questions.
Myself and a couple other BW members will be at these shows.
Private message me if you'd like more details and I'll try to help.

Again, sorry for your loss- treasure the memories and focus on the great fun and laughs you had.

Jill
