That certainly sounds encouraging and it sound like this surgeon knows what he is talking about. So it seems Miss GoLightly is in good hands, though as I am sure you do, I wish she did not have to be there. And as for everyone at the hospital falling in love with her....how could they not. The strongest healing vibes and prayers are coming your way from Colorado and we hope that sweet Holly is up and well in no time. Thanks for the update. Holly, you take it very easy until you are healed.....hugs and kisses to you, sweet girl.

Holly Golightly

Well, Miss Holly Golightly is not living up to her name at all. There was once an interviewer who spoke with Audrey Hepburn who said she actually felt like a tomboy at heart. LOL---that must be the side of the pedigree Holly is going for.

It is rather disheartening to be in a Surgeon's office, talking about pins in broken bones, while having the huge xray staring at you from the wall unit. I tend to be a rather upbeat person by nature. One of those types to looks to the bright side of life and tries to help others do the same. And for a few moments I did feel fear creep into my heart. But this Specialist knew his stuff. He explained everything completely. He welcomed questions so much Genie and I were grasping at whatever came into our minds. Don't want to look like a complete dumb-dumb.

He knew no ACE which made my heart sing. LOL--he almost was lecturing ME on the ill effects with a Brach. breed such a Boxer. He discussed the ill effects of calcium suppliments to puppies. Holly had no such suppliments but it was good to hear a specialist explain just why they can be harmful.

LOL---Genie will probably agree this was the most quiet I have ever been to a vet visit. I found myself just sitting like a good girl (while petting Holly) and trying to absorb everything the surgeon gave us. He would try to use layman terms when he could to make sure we understood. It seemed very important to him that we understand it all. That is a good thing, definitely.

So Holly has her surgery tomorrow and Genie will (of course) be calling me when it is over. I was able to get out of work today but have too many meetings lined up tomorrow. Holly will be a model patient. She was fabulous today. The staff just loved her. How can you not love a sweet faced girl who clearly just wants to kiss everyone she meets

I'm sorry to hear about Holly's injury. I'll keep all of you in my thoughts tomorrow. I hope her surgery goes throught without any problems. I also hope that she makes a full recovery and stops injuring herself!

Genie...I would have been crying right beside you. I am strong for so much in life, but when it comes to my babies, well I just can't help it!

I am crossing everything I have and praying for a great surgery tomorrow! Everyone in my house closed their eyes to send out as many healing vibes as we could...did you feel them? We love Miss Holly so much, she is indeed one of OUR babies! Tender kisses to your owie sweetie, when are you going to outgrow the tomboy stuff and start being more ladylike? Silly girl!
