Memories and new beginnings

Yesterday after feeding Skully and settling in to watch CBS Sunday morning, I opened my Facebook page. The top of my feed was a past memory. It was 3 years ago yesterday that we had to say goodbye to Arabella. As the tears started to well up, a story came up on the TV. It was about a gentleman who has a YouTube channel called Acorn to Arabella. He was building a boat from trees from his property. For me it was a sign that my girl has transition just fine

And now my family and I are also ready to move on. Arabella passed while we were in the middle of a house remodel that we have just finished the final touches on. We now have time to dedicate to a puppy. On Facebook a little over a week ago our local Boxer rescue posted a picture of a 6 month old girl looking for a home. I immediately filled out and application. I have done a phone interview and they have talked to my vet. We are just waiting on scheduling the home visit. So please say a prayer or send good vibes or positive energy, or whatever your beliefs are that we get this girl. My heart melted as soon as I saw her picture.

Fingers crossed for your application. If she is the right one for you, you'll get her, if it doesn't come through, it just means there is another dog waiting just around the corner. Good Luck with puppyhood, we hadn't had one for 20 years, was a bit of a shock to the system

WAITING FOR AN UPDATE!!! I am so happy that your beautiful Arabella sent you that loving sign. What an awesome way to hear from her! Can't wait to hear if the newbie has arrived.

We didn't get the one we put an application in for. Her foster family is keeping her. However we are getting another girl. She turned 5 months today. She came from a bad backyard breeder situation. (Breeder is in jail.) The rescue is fattening her up and will spay her soon. I get her Nov. 21st. She is a petite flashy fawn and we are naming her Opal. Pictures to follow soon!
