Hi all, Do any of you know where I can find CUTE maternity clothes. Every store I have been to I have practally struck out. I wonder if the manufactures think that 55 year old women are the pregnant majority. And if I see one more "baby on Board" shirt I'll scream. I did find some cute boot cut jeans at penneys, and I found cute clothes online at Old navy, but I dont want to buy maternity clothes online. I am looking for semi prefesional clothes-although I would love to wear sweats-I dont think my boss would like that! I realize that while youre pregnant you loose your figure, but you shouldnt loose your fashion sence!

Go to Target!

I have found great stuff at Target, and it's inexpensive. ESPECIALLY if you check out their clearance racks.

I was lucky enough to get through almost the whole Summer just wearing regular clothes in bigger sizes, but now that I am coming down the home stretch I have found great pieces at Target. Their maternity label is called "In Due Time" and has some good stuff. I got straight-leg jeans, bootleg stretch black pants and a pair of charcoal grey pants from the clearance rack for $4.98 each, plus I got some cute Fall tops for about $12-16 each.

I really like the look of the new Old Navy maternity stuff, but since it's only available online I was reluctant to order because you can't try anything on. I know it can be returned to the regular stores, but I figured it would be a hassle.

I checked Target and I must have gone in at a bum time because they only had tanktops on clearance. They had a lot of cute fall and winter tops, but it is still nice here. I tried larger clothes, but they just didnt look right, they fit the waist, but the kegs were huge and vice versa-and dont get me started on the shirts- I felt like I was wearing a tent!! The weird thing is that although I am 5 mos, I have only gained 7lbs, but i have gotten bigger
 Thank God it is just in my belly though!

I knew you would be one of the first to reply! How are you doing by the way-You're almost there!!!!!!:)

Believe it or not, I've found some really CUTE Maternity clothes at Burlington Coat Factory (I'm not sure if you have one around you)and I think Wal-Mart too.

I don't have any kids, and I've never been pregnant, but they USUALLY put the maternity section next to the 'plus' section and there you are, perusing the cute little tops and bottoms and next thing you know...you're looking at Maternity stuff!

I think Gap may have a new Maternity line, but I'm not sure. Try Sears.. do you have one of them near you?

Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy! :)

Typically at 5-6 months is when you begin to "pop out" and maternity clothes becomes more necessary. If you've only gained 7 pounds so far, you still have a ways to go! (I think I'm up to about 40 now, and have 5 weeks left today -- ACK!!!! I need more time to prepare!!!!).

I was able to get by with a lot of drawstring waisted pants that I already had (so the legs still fit and I just had to keep letting out the tie) but I think half of the weight I've gained has been in my chest! It's unreal! The tops were the first thing I had to invest in. Yes, they are like tents, but hey, they fit! :) And yes, maternity clothes makes you look WAY more pregnant than regular clothes, but by the time you need it, you won't care.

I'd avoid the mall chain maternity stores like Motherhood because they're really overpriced.

If possible, check your fiance's closet for shirts (and maybe even pants depending on what size he is!) and see if you can raid a few things from there. I borrowed some of my husband's polo shirts and t-shirts but his pants are still way too big (thank goodness!)

My sister is a huge bargain shopper and also found me a few cute things from thrift stores for like $1 a piece! It makes sense because people that go out an buy full maternity wardrobes only need the stuff for a few months and then they tend to never want to see it again!

Another note: don't go out and buy any new shoes for a while. Right now I am wearing a full size bigger than usual. I hope my feet go back to regular size afterwards -- because I love my shoe collection and don't want to think of giving it away!

You'll see -- the time between now and February will fly by. Just wear whatever makes you comfortable and happy!

Struck out too:(

Im six months pregnant and I found some really cute outfits at Target a few months ago. I bought two pairs of shorts and two shirts at the time......now I wish I had bought more. I live in florida and for some reason all the stores now have fall/winter clothes out. For one.....it NEVER gets cold enough for me to wear pants here and i rarely wear long sleeved shirts either....so I am at a loss to find anything. I need to find someplace also.......i know exactly how you feel:)

There is a store called "pea in the pod" or something close, when I was pregnant I went and bought a three or four basic pieces that I lived in, a good pair of jeans, or slacks, and then raid your husbands closets for shirts. I did by one really great outfit that I could wear and feel good in, I splurged on the cost but it made me feel pretty!

Hi. I've been through 2 pregnancies, so I know what you are going through! I of course, was a stay at home mom with both, so I didn't need to find work suitable clothes. With the first one I got some pants at Target and some shirts at K-Mart. I also went to Motherhood with #2 and they had some really nice stuff! I of course hit the clearance rack and got out of there with a couple things for under $50. That got me through to delivery. I really don't know where to find work clothes. Mine were just casual. But comfortable!! Which counts if you can get away with it! Good luck as you hit the last 4 months! I didn't gain much in the beginning but my tummy sure grew, I think it went from all the other deposit places and went to tummy and chest!!
