I've had six boxers, four females, two males. They were all very affectionate with both of us. Out of all these dogs, it was a mix of which one was more attached to who. I think it just depends on the dog. One of our females was completely attached to John. His sister actually bought her, but the dog lived for the moment that John came to visit, she would get so excited when he came in, and then sit by the door and cry for him when he left, so, his sister gave him the dog!

This dog was VERY protective of John, and she was really the only aggressive dog that we had. Another female was my baby. She lived to be with me. So, again, I think it just depends on the individual dog. One of the males loved me more, you could just tell that I was so important to him, but the other male was just happy to be with his people and fellow dogs. Of course, when you buy a dog, you never know who it will bond more with, I got Duquessa for me and guess what? She ADORES John! She is loving and affectionate with me, but if John's home, she stays by his side. I keep telling him that now I have to get another boxer for ME!
