one of my favorite subjects

I have girl/boy twins Callie and Cole and a 4 month old baby girl, Peyton Claire. For the twins we had all kinds of names picked out: Wyatt and Whitney (b/g), Wyatt and Wade (b/b), Seth and Sadie (b/g).

When I was expecting Peyton, we COULD not decide! She did not have a name until about 15 minutes after she was born but we did really like Peyton throughout my pregnancy. My mother in law and sisters-in-law did not/do not like it. And my father said he is just going to call her #5 (for his fifth grandchild), until I told him the trouble my mil has given me with it, now he LIKES it and calls her Peyton. My sister in law said it has a horrible conontation because of the t.v. show! :( I really wish that people would live by the rule "If you do not have something nice to say don't say anything at all! ". So do not let anyone get to you and name your sweetie what you want.

Some of the girl names we liked for Peyton were: Lucy, Josie, Claire, Ellie, Emersyn, Carsyn, Samantha (not unusual and was my Doberman's name growing up, but I love the name), Georgia, Isabelle, Eve.

Callie has a little girl in her dance class named Ashlyn, I think that is so pretty and melodic. Delaney is another unusual one that sounds pretty.

Good luck with everything and Congratulations!!!

Oh how fun...congragulations on the wee baby!!

Hmm....how about Tallula for a girl and you can call her Lulu for short? I also like Taylor for a little GIRL. Or Darling for a name?

Hey everyone.! Im 5 months pregnant and looking for unusual baby names for a girl or boy... so far I have Khessia for a girl, and Kaleb for a boy.. but still looking for an many suggestions as possible (thanks)

I don't know how unusual you would consider these, but here are my fave boy names: Noah, Levi, Jakob, and Dayton (my dad's middle name). Hubby really likes Elisha and Elijah.

Girl names are harder. I really like Kathryn, but that's not very original. Anyway, I like a lot of Biblical names, and there's definitely some unusual ones in there! ;)

I'm expecting also, and some of the names I have picked out are:

For a boy: Jayden or Kayden...

My sister-in-law had a baby boy in November and named him Jayden. I had never heard it before, but I like it. :)

With my name being Kysha (pronounced Keesha), I think that it's pretty unusual - I have yet to meet another person with my name! I have met a dog name Kysha though

I went to school with a girl named Keisha (pronounced the same way as yours). Now you're not alone. ;)

I tend to like the traditional names, but today they can be uncommon!

What about
Althea, Delilah (you can call her Lilah) or Vivian

for boys
Claude, Burton, Malone or Clark

I have a piece of paper in my wallet that I've kept since I was 18 or so. Every time I hear a name I like I write it down. My newest addition (courtesy of Woody Allen) is Bechet. For some reason that name REALLY appeals to me. I'd use it for a girl, but I guess it could go either way.

Here's some more from my list:

GIRLS:
Quinn
Noelle
Noa
Avery
Darby
Parker
Meadow (as in Soprano ;) )
Annika
Rhiannon
Gretchen

BOYS:
Carter
Pacey
Graham

Can you tell I hear way more cool girl names than boy names?

Good luck with the baby naming.

P.S. Robyn, I have a cousin named Payton (different spelling) but he's a boy. I really love that name for a girl, unfortunately for me I can't use it.

Now we're having this problem, too. Jesse has decided to definately get a vasectomy reversal so we can have a baby. We already have a girls name picked out(Emma Simone), but we cannot agree on a boys name. So far I like either Aidan or Jaden. But he's not sure if he likes them or not. So maybe I can get some help here, too!

I think Colton is a very cool name! My nephew races motorcross and is placed 1st in his class in the mid-atlantic region (I'm a proud aunt-he's only 11). There is another little boy in the class above him who's in first place named Colton Bailey. That name really sounds like he'll be someone famous!

I almost forgot, we had Spencer on our list for girls names.
