I purchased my puppy from a real nice pet store in TX. I was even able to prevent her from having to stay a single night there. I recieved all the proper paperwork and certificates, but only the breeders name. I really want to find a way to communicate with her. Her name is Linda Short and I could be wrong, but I believe she lives in AR. I posted this in the 'puppy breeder' forum but felt this forum was read more. If anyone could help on this hopeless search, please do. It would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't the pet store able to provide you with that information??
If you have all the proper papers, you should have either a tatoo or microchip number that would be registered with the AKC. If the pup isn't registered yet and it was left for you to do you should have a litter registration number. You can also use that to contact the AKC.

Pet shop puppies come from puppy millers. Most common way to get from the mill in one state to the puppy shop is through a broker. Most likely the puppy shop bought your puppy not directly from her but from the broker.
Julie gave the site that can thoroughly explain this. Be prepared to learn some well kept secrets by the puppy stores.

I've done a search on some USDA and/or State licensing lists and did not find the name Linda Short.
Class A (thru USDA) - are breeders that breed puppies for the wholesale market. (some other names they are know as.....*professional* breeders, USDA breeders, high-volumn breeders, commercial breeders....and the most common....puppymills). They mass produce puppies, and do not care for the quality of puppies they produce. Parents are continually bred (and most live in sub-standard conditions), live their lifes out in cages/pens that are small & many on wire). They do not receive proper solicization. Many of the puppies from these types of breeders develop health issues early and/or behavioral issues. I have never seen 1 pup from a petstore that is a quality pup or a quality pup that turns into a quality adult. From my experience, 100% of the petstore puppies have kennel cough and parasites, and at least 60-75% of them have umbilical hernias, retained testicles (one or both), luxating patellas, demodex, entropian, etc at the time of purchase. I have even seen 1 dog that developed Parvo & another 1 that developed distemper that had to have arrived at the petstore with it, or picked it up from another puppy in the petstore, because of the incubation period.
Class B (thru USDA) - are Brokers (the middle man between the breeder and petstore), or they also can be breeders themselves.
Your paperwork should give you all the information you need to do the search on the nopuppymills.com site
Information to look for that you will need for the form:
1) breeders name & address (or state)
2) brokers name & address (or state)
3) AKC (or other registery information)
4) Microchip information (alot of petstore puppies are already microchipped)
Remember, a petstore will tell you anything to make a sale. Quality, reputable breeders NEVER sell to a petstore. It is against the *code of ethics* for quality dog breeders.

Well, I went to nopuppymills and filled out all the info and they will email me in a couple days. Thanks for the advice. By the way Matt S, duhh, im not searching for a breeder am I? NO. Im talking about my boxer pup. 
My Angel, a 12 wk female, is doing terrific. She is very smart and already is house trained, knows sit, shake, no bite, and come. She liioks absolutely georgous and healthy. She has seen a vet 4 times for checks. All clear so far. Now Im worried a little. SWhe is very outgoing to all people and other dogs. Shows no signs of abuse or bad socialization by no means.
