It's funny, I suppose, that I am sometimes very afraid to post good news in fear that I will be jinxing the situation. After reading so many heartbreaking threads, I have always held on to the hope that this one will be different and have a happy ending. I still have hope that Mugsy will land on both paw pads and run full speed around the yard again. We have been so blessed to meet so many wonderful people, and doctors who have been able to offer us more and more options. I thank God every night that we still have our "Baby Guy" here with us. This journey has been so emotional and educational. Not a day goes by that I am not appreciative of all the prayers offered by our Boxerworld family members, or do not pray for our "special dog friends and their families." Even if I am absent for some time, you and your furbabies are in my heart, and on my mind.
I am going to put together an album with a link so anyone interested can see the latest Mugs shots; it's easier than trying to make the photo sizes BW appropriate.

Allison, I was glued to your story and just had to finish!! I am sooooo glad you guys persued other avenues and didn't give up. I'm glad Mugs is feeling better these days. Sounds like Shadow is a clown like my guys!! Judge also has a small lump on is thigh we will have removed soon (it just appeared 2 mths ago) it doesn't seem to be growing, and when they had their visit 3 weeks ago the vet said usually he wouldn't worry about it, but since he's a boxer he wants to remove it. Of course, I agree and I keep having this linger in my mind until I know for sure. It feels more like a little cist but we'll find out soon. We (me, Boss aka Bossie and Judge aka Judgie) will keep you in ours prayers. Continued success Mugs!!!!!!!!!

Leah--Best of luck to you and Judge with that bump. I'll be looking forward to good news. I really thought I'd be a panic and never get over that MCT episode, but I've managed to be vigilant without making the boys crazy. I also feel comforted having a holistic vet in Mugsy's medical arsenal, should we ever have to deal with that again. And yes, I kiss that face probably more often than it would like to be kissed. I remeber in 5th grade, I had a friend who gave up kissing his Doberman for Lent. It must have been a real challenge! As far as Shadow is concerned, he's a laugh a minute and a pillar of strength, but sometimes very rude. :eek:

Janie--Thanks for your kind words. I feel that Mugsy is my special "soul dog" as you do with your baby at the bridge. There was no way that I was going to roll over without a fight, and that goes for all of my animals.

Taryn--Mugsy is working up his strength for that beach date! I hope Layla is doing well.

Glad you enjoyed the album. I suppose I should send the link to my other family, too.

I loved all of Mugsy's pictures. Your home site is lovely with all of the trees and snow. He is beautiful. I pray for continued progress in 2005.
