update on kerouac
kerouac's prognosis looks better than yesterday. his temperature is stable and he hasn't vomited yet today or had diarrhea in almost 24 hours. they are going to try him out on bland food today!!!! hopefully we'll be able to bring him home tomorrow!!!!!! we are so excited i'm about to go visit him so i'll keep ya'll updated!! thanks for all the healing vibes!!!

depressed kerouac
just got home from the hospital... kerouac is very depressed. he looks skeletal... he is still throwing up... we tried to get him to eat some soft food and he just sniffed at it and turned away. seeing him like this is breaking my heart. looks like he's going to be in there for a couple more days at least...

Is the hospital giving Kerouac anything for his nausea/vomiting? How about an appetite stimulant? I hope he is feeling better soon. It's very difficult to see them like that, especially b/c there's not a whole lot that you can do for them. Hang in there...Skye sends her love to Kerouac.

kerouac's condition has worsened
i spoke to the vet this morning... kerouac no longer has diarrhea and he isn't really vomiting anymore. they did blood tests this morning and from what i understand, his blood count is low... his immune system is very weak and it seems as though he is rejecting the antibiotics... his spirits are very low and he is pretty depressed... he was doing so much better yesterday since we took him in on thursday and we were looking forward to him being discharged from the hospital today... we are hoping and praying he makes it... we will get to go see him this afternoon at the hospital to try to get him to eat. let's keep our fingers crossed...

I sure hope he is feeling better soon! It is so hard to see our babies in pain or sick. Hang in there........he will be happy to see you and hopefully bring his spirts up!

So glad to hear he is doing better. Poor baby. So young to get so sick. But things are looking up for him and I know when you get him home you will love him to pieces. Being a first time mom is never easy whether it is an animal or baby. It is a learning process. Hold on and you'll do fine. Ali & Bailey send healing vibes and lots of kisses to your baby.
