kerouac needs a prayer

Dont Give up !!!

We too had a puppy that had Parvo. We didnt know she was sick until about 24 hours after we had her home. She is a little shephard/chow mix. Anyhow, we had her hospitalized and we tried EVERYTHING to get her to eat. It took her about a week to come around, we offered her all kinds of food. The Vet said keep trying different things. Finally she ate a McDonalds Hamburger!!! I was never so happy to see a puppy eat in my life! So dont give up. Our vet said to visit her every day and spend time with her, to encourage her will to live since she is so depressed. Keep positive thoughts!!!

Good Luck!!! We will pull for her.

when does it get better?

we just got home from the hospital... kerouac doesn't look good at all... he didn't really get up and move around when we got there... he has a 105.2 temperature and he just looks like he's losing his will to live. he's lost so much weight. we took some turkey and chicken with us to see if we could get him to eat but he was so weak it was as if he couldn't open his mouth to try... he just sniffed at it... they put him on a different antibiotic since he doesn't seem to be responding to the one they had him on previously. andy and i are distraught. he looked so good yesterday--it's not fair to him to be in that awful isolated metal crate! i'm so scared he's going to completely let go and instead take on a learned helplessness. all we can do now is wait...........
