Jumps Like a Deer

My neighbor is a hunter (deer, moose) and says to me all the time...put a white tail on that dog (Spirit) and he'll be in trouble in the late fall!! :p He prances around and pounces and jumps (flies) over obstacles just like a deer would! With super-model legs like his, it just can't be helped!

yep..Coco runs & jumps like a deer. I've never seen a dog clear so much air! It's graceful too! Just saturday DH & DS were playing PS2 and had cords strung all across the living room cause no one can sit close to the tv, we must all scoot back as far as we can to ensure we are sitting in our normal comfy chair Anyway coco was running the circle in the house and came through the kitchen and picked up her little legs and jumped nearly the whole width of the living room and landed square on the couch clearing every cord in the way along with the end of the coffee table. It was awesome!! I wished I could have snapped a pic with her in the air and her little legs folded up under her. I said to hubby...see she's such a good girl she knows not to hit those cords and pull your game around...we were dying! She did look just like a deer jumping a fence.

Look at the Gizelle as she grazes through the woods...

Libby (when she is outside and VERY excited) she will jump like a gizelle. Its hillarious!! I should record it and post it one day. You guys will crack up!!

Yep Toni too. She comes over the back of the couch from a dead stand still. I can't imagine how she does it. From the front she'll leave the floor and end up on the back of the couch without touching the seat. She is amazing that way. But she respects the fences and baby gates. Doesn't even try to jump over and I know she could! Same with the little fence I put around the Christmas tree. One look at it and it was like, oh well, I can't mess with the fence. Hopefully she will teach her baby brother the same respect for the fences. She hops through the yard too. It is so funny. So many of then are the same color as deer too. I do worry about it during hunting season since I live in the country and they hunt all around me. I keep her extra close beside me during hunting. She never ceases to amaze me.

Beau jumps over the back of the couch, too. He doesn't quite make it sometimes because he usually starts the process by sticking just his head over the back of the couch to see if anyone is there. If he doesn't back up a little, he gets stuck with the bottom half of his body hanging over the back of the couch. I have to drag him over and then he's fine. He also jumps like 5 feet in the air when I say, "BoBo wanna go potty?" He runs to the door and jumps straight up and down until I get his leash on. Does anyone else's boxer jump really high, too?

That is SSSOOOOO FUNNY!! I always tell people that I own a deer and a jackrabbit because they jump so high!!!!
