We went to see him today, Sammy didnt come.
He was very peaceful looking. It was heartbreaking.

We are getting him cremated privately and we will bury his ashes out our back garden that he loved.

We asked Vet about Sammy and if it was good idea to get campion for him etc. She said yes but a puppy would be better. So we are thinking about this.
what you all this?

We have so much love to give, spent thousands of euros on our back garden to make it very dog friendly so I suppose we do want to share this love again...

For me I will never to able to replace such a loving baby as my Jakey.

I have been thinking about you all day since I read that Jake passed away. I hope you can find closure to all of this and perhaps a new puppy would help you and Sammy do that? I dont know, it couldnt hurt..... Jake was far too young to be taken, so Im sure you are just beside yourself. Just know that all of us are thinking about you and keep us posted on how you are doing.

We had gotten Bindee in January to "start preparing" because we knew after 12 years....our time was short. We never thought it would have come so soon( in March) ! We got used to TWO boxers. After Brock passed 3 days later I got Milo. Some people said it was too soon that I was trying to "replace" him but that was not it at all. It was the best thing I could have done for myself, my kids, and my Bindee!! It is a hoot to have two puppies!!! Needless to say the house never has a quiet moment with those two....and goodness, it helps so much not to have those "thinking" times! So I say, when you are ready you should go for it.

I had gone to your other thread to check on any news about Jake...........I am so sorry for your heartbreaking loss of your boy. Now he is at peace, no longer distressed and in pain. His dear spirit and the love that you shared is always with you. In our deepest sympathy and sorrow for your loss, we are with you and for you. For Sammy, and for you and your family, it sounds like a good idea to think about bringing a puppy into your loving home. No doubt you would honor Jake's life greatly by passing the love forward. Your heart will guide you.

Rest in peace, Jake, sweet boy.

Oh Brenda, I am truly sorry for the loss of your beloved Jake. My heart aches for you and your family. To lose a much loved dog is sad, but to lose one so young is tragic. My thoughts and prayers have been with you since your first post about Jake's illness, and will continue to be thinking of you now in your loss.
Fly free Jake~~~

So sorry about Jake. So many of us have lost our babies and it is a very difficult time. They come into our lives and take with them a piece of our hearts with them when they leave. We lost Rocky after a years battle with cancer on Feb 2 and we got new baby girl the end of Feb. She will never replace Rocky but as you already know we need that boxer love in our lives and they do keep your mind occupied. Do what is best for you and your and find peace in knowing you loved and did all you could do for Jake...prayers to you.

A wise friend told me that nothing heals a broken heart like a boxer pup-I agreed and we got our Nysa just four months after losing our Ailis. Fraze loves and protects her like he did Ai. So I say do it when you and Sammy are ready-only you will know. You never replace them but honor them by bringing another pup into your life. Thinking of you so much and wishing you peace and sweet memories. Rest easy Jake-you were very much loved angelicon
