Well, my girls and I are one of those crazy Boxer-less families who go nuts every time we see one. We shout to cars and we pull over to play with one whenever the opportunity arises. I posted a few weeks back about seeing our first white Boxer while on vacation. We were so excited to see a Boxer, and especially a white one, I could not tear myself away. Finally, my husband made us leave because he thought the dog was a perfect "chick magnet" and we were cramping the owners style!
Sadly, I agreed. But we went down to the same spot the next day and he was there so we got more Boxer lovin!:p

I agree on the white boxer thing. People are just so curious! They know he's a boxer but just don't believe it because of the color.
And ya, I stalk other people's boxers. Thinking about founding a new network group in Canada here.....BoxerStalk. We could all go out with our shades and cloaks and walkie talkies..scope out all the boxers in the 'hood....oh ya.

It is defintily a boxer thing.
A few months ago Pat and I were leaving the neighborhood and going out somewhere, the girls were at home, and as we are driving i notice a girl walking a boxer so i scream to pat to back up and lets go talk to the girl- he thought i was psychotic at this point, so we go up to the girl and she has a 3 month old boxer-porter and i told her that i have 2 girls at home and that we go to the dog park etc etc. well i had not heard from her since, she never went to the dog park that i did, last week, pat tells me about a NEW dog park that opened this summer and is 2 minutes from my house
so i have been taking the girls at night, well this boxer shows up so of course, subi, bailey and i went right on over and i start talking to this girl and the boxer, i am talking to her for like 30 minutes about random stuff and then we start talking about where we all live and she says her dog is actually her boyfriends dog and he lives in revell downs (same neighborhood as me) and i start laughing realizing this is the same girl i had pat pull over for. we were both like what a small world. it was great!!!

If Labs and other breeds walked as proud as our Boxers do maybe they would have more attention. I swear Tyra just sticks that chest out more and holds that head up high once the leash is on. Leash off and you've never seen anything goofier.

Completely Boxer Crazy
We just recently got a boxer, and he's been out in the neighborhood for about 2 weeks now!! He gets soooo much attention!!! My hubby and I walked alone everynight for many years, but we have met more of our neighbors this past two weeks (with Hammer) than in all the years combined. Sort of sad when you think about it. But I think boxers just bring out the best in everyone. We have one woman that lives three streets over that drives around the neighborhood around eight'ish to see if Hammer's out walking his folks. She's sooo sweet, she had boxers as a child and I keep trying to convince her that she needs to contact Boxer Rescue for a baby of her own.

You are so right. It's like the inside joke that only certain people get. A something special that we share, therefore, we nod each other in recognition of that.
We go out of our way to say hello when we run in to one another because we have boxers in common.
