Well before christmas I decided that I was going to give up for the new year, but I bought a whole carton of cigarettes to take with me to Ireland (I was not paying 3 times the price over there) and as you can´t smoke in the pubs, restaurants etc... I didn´t smoke as much as I thought, so I took them back with me. I decided when I finish these I´ll give up. 1 month later and yes I have finish the ones that went to Ireland and back to Spain with me, I am still thinking about it..............

Marion it was just a relapse, you can do it.
I did it for 3 years so I believe I CAN DO IT AGAIN.

I feel for you hun. I am 25, and have been smoking since I was a teen. Every night I lay awake and think about quitting. I keep telling myself, quit now, before its too late, and you die from this. I would like to quit before I get a disease. But every morning as soon as I come to work, and another employee shows up, he lights up, then so do I. It sucks, I hate the smell, I hate coughing, I have bad chest pains, and I can hardly run with Kirby without running out of breath!! Its horrible, but I don't have that determination to do it! I am hopeless. But you, wow hun, my hat is off to you. You did it, and you still can. Every one slips, no one is perfect, its so hard I know, it might just be the hardest thing you do in your life, but just think of how good you will feel about yourself a month from now, then 2 months.. and so on. Keep your goal, and keep strong, we are all here for support. :)

Marion, don't you dare beat yourself up over this minor slip!! nonoicon You have come so far...and done so much better than most people I know who have attempted to quit. You are still considered to be a non-smoker in my eyes! Have you bought a pack...a carton? If no, then you are still doing an awesome job! If yes, well then it's a minor bump in the road...you have made an extrodinary attempt to quit, and you will do it again...and you WILL succeed! You can do this...I KNOW you can!! Think of your new grandbaby..Millie...the ole man...your wonderful boys, but most of all, think of YOU and how much better your life will be! Hang in there GF..you are one tough Cockney...ciggies are no match for you! Sending love, (((HUGS))), and <<<will-power vibes>>> lovicon

Ah...no you're not back to day one after 3 weeks, it was a blip, thats all. Just carry on, each day that passes you will become stronger, try having a few lozenges in your pockets for those really stressful times, they do help.

You can do it! Think how lovely your new oven will look next to the new floor. Think how lovely your dh will look ironing with your new iron. Think how nice your hair, your clothes and you will smell because you don't smoke. Stick with it, you can do it. I don't smoke, but did join weight watcher's, and am dying for a piece of chocolate cake. Hey, can you make one for me in your new oven to take your mind off of smoking. And put some chocolate frosting on it please. I'll do the ironing for you if dh doesn't. We will support each other.
