Unfortunately it's beef based, another common allergen. I'd like to see them make a formula based on venison, duck, lamb or a combination of those.
Yes, it would be nice to see a further version that didn't have beef. But you know, since beef stopped being the most common ingredient in dog food (actually it was beef by-products  ), it's "star" as an allergen has been waning. It's actually a fairly rare component of dog foods these days.
Chicken, on the other hand, is
everywhere. And so, the rise of chicken allergies is underway as dogs are being fed it constantly... So I'm thrilled to see at least one alternative, even if more would be nice.
The Innova folks are making a line of EVO canned called "95%" which are either duck, venison or rabbit, and they claim "contains 95% meat including bones, fat, cartilage and connective tissue for the true carnivore in every dog." I hope they turn out something equivalent in dry kibble.
LOL - impossible

Can't make kibble without at least 50% of it being made up of some form of starchy vegetable (or grain). It simply won't stick together without. For that wish, you'd have to accept something other than kibble (perhaps a dehydrated food along the lines of the Honest Kitchen's products...

).
