I definatly would have lost it! I had some lady kick Charlie Paper once, and I did infact have a fit. Poor Mateus. People who lash out at other people's animals like that with no reason should be banned from public places. If people are so keen to ban animals, why shouldn't people be banned?

Wow, not sure the guy would have been left standing had he kicked my Guinness. Seriously, I think I would have kicked him, or stomped on his foot or something. If he doesn't know what a play bow looks like, either he has been totally ignoring his dogs or they don't play (so why is he there in the first place).
I'm glad YOU were not hurt, this guy sounds pretty hostile!!!

What a jerk! I hope your baby is okay. You should definitely file a complaint with the dog park office. That is clearly no way to treat an animal and your guy wasn't even doing anything wrong! Maybe that jerk thought the atmosphere of a dogpark was supposed to be like a library...no playing, no rough-housing, etc...what a weirdo! Sorry that happened to you.

You said it!! What would his defense be, anyway, should he be questioned and ticketed?

Oh, I am so mad! I pity the person who would dare to kick my dog! Poor Mateus! I want to give him a big squeeze. Imagine a dog barking! You should have told him that Mateus hasn't mastered the english language yet so he is forced to communicate like a dog! Dogs bark! What a concept! Did he hurt Mateus? Did he yelp or anything? I hope it doesn't make him afraid. Give him a big kiss from all his friends at Boxerworld.

We are in the process of having a dog park built in our town- I am half way scared to go there after hearing so many lovely stories.

Payton just passed his CGC test and I re-entered him in this next class just for the socialization and playtime part of it. He loves it!

I hate that for your dog. I hope it didn't hurt him to bad. He is lucky he didn't get dog bite. What an A$$. Not the kicking but yelling at my MAMA would have done it for my Cooper. The guy is lucky that he make it home with that foot of his. You might keep your cell phone handy if the guy shows up again. Police would not have been a bad idea. Had it been worse and you had to take the dog to the vet, a police report would matter.

It is well documented that animal abusers are cowardly people who are a menace to society. You should definitely contact your police as well as the city who runs the dog park and report this man. In Canada, we have laws to protect animals from that kind of abuse and I'm sure you will feel better if you file a report - they might be able to fine him.

I admire your self-control as well because I know that man would have been crawling out of the dog park on his hands and knees if that was my Isis that he kicked.
